Made less appearances than Aneke over the last 2 seasons combined and if he leaves will be on his third club in 3 years. His time at Lincoln was the exception in an otherwise nothing career, no thanks

Yeah I wasn't really mentioning him as a target more someone that's come up in the past and being available again , doesn't fit the NJ shape or style really
Dobson was an average league one player made out by a number of fans as a premiership player sorry he was miles away from even championship player .. how many reckless tackles on the edge of our box did he make , how many passes went a stray .again in dangerous positions .. yes he had his positives but fact that no one was rushing to sign him says how “ football “ saw him …. Coventry completely diff player far more skilful and better passer of the ball , he don’t rush in or makes last ditch tackles because he reads a game better and so intercepts long before he needs to tackle or lunge in …..
Agree. I put Dobson in the same bracket as Kishishev....nowhere near as good a footballer as Charlton fans believe, but adored because they ran around like lunatics chasing after their own lack of abilities, but interpreted as caring and hardworking
What?! Kishishev was a great footballer.
Radostin Kishishev would walk into the current team and improve it beyond belief. And he's 50.
Probably. But we're talking about someone that blagged it in the prem vs where we are now with some players blagging it in league one.
Different levels of abilities certainly, but blagging none the less. The energy and passion hides imperfections of ability in typical fan favourites

Also, for the record...I will always love Kishishev (despite his limitations as a premiership footballer) as my knowing of his existence got me laid by a fit Bulgarian tourist I got chatting to in Gable by bank station

It's clear then your brains are in your cock. Ask Curbs how valuable Kish was to his side

He wasn't. He was a headless chicken, a hard worker and a nice bloke. Doesn't make him a great footballer.
He was very effective in the defensive midfield, man to man marking, harass and force mistake role...but that was down to his own chaos.
You obviously didn't see Kishishev play for Brighton at the Valley.

Are you for real? I think you've been watching so much shit at Charlton since we got relegated from the premier league, that you've forgotten what a good footballer is. Even a few years after he left us and he was playing for Brighton in the championship.he pissed all over our Midfield in a 4-0 win. 20 times the player Dobson is.

So if, big if, we get £8.6m from the Gomez sell on fee do we:
Spend it all on one "star" player now?
Buy two or three top notch players for reasonable fees now?
Save it for the January window?
Use it to reduce the clubs £8m loses?
Bits of all the above I imagine - maybe a player previously out of reach becomes less so but it would be reckless and fairly pointless to try and match the likes of Birmingham who've been throwing around huge amounts all summer, not just starting in August (plus the risk of unbalanced wages - if one player is the sole beneficiary it seems a bit against Jones' ethos of teamwork over a talisman.)
Use it if the right players are available, save it if not, and if some is used to pay off some debts then fair enough honestly.

2nd option.
Get a defender, midfielder and striker that are on a 'big money wishlist' that has been saved for a rainy day. £2 million for each.
We should have budgeted for the squad without the Gomez money so I assume the players would be on top of a full squad. Maybe leading to us being able to loan out young players that would have been on the fringe.

There are no rumours so we have a chat to pass the time.
It's been like that for the 10 years I have been on CL.
If you have a rumour pass it on or stop moaning.
i think we can afford to wait for the right centre mid and left centre back as we have good options. And still a month of the window left.
