I honestly think this place should close for a few days post defeat. I've been guilty of it but some of the reactions to a defeat are way OTT..
On Jones, I don't want him to leave but could see him going what with Cardiff being his team. He'd just be another one in a every growing list of jumping ship at the first opportunity.
Not saying it will happen but he is on record saying it would be hard to turn down Cardiff, and he has form for jumping ship twice at Luton. i don’t let myself worry about things like this anymore, I can’t personally affect it, and life is too short and stressful as it is. Que Sera
He's started building something, the club are backing him, we have a bit of momentum. I get Cardiff are the club he supported as a youngster and he's a proud Welshman, but I think he'll stay. He's had bad experiences jumping ship before and I think that feeds into the equation. I could be wrong of course but I'd be surprised if he went.
I can't see him going when there are other options out there who are already out of work and thus much cheaper and easier to bring in. If he was actively looking for work then yeah he'd probably be one of the favourites but he's not.
On 28 May 2020, Jones was reappointed as Luton Town manager, almost 18 months after originally leaving the club to manage Stoke. He replaced the outgoing Graeme Jones, who left by mutual consent the month before.[57] In his first press conference, Jones spoke of his "regret" and "remorse" over the way he initially left the club and that he understood the mixed fan reaction to his exit and return, with hopes that he could earn fans' trust back.[58] Jones went on to successfully guide Luton to Championship safety on the final day of the season with a 19th place finish, despite the club lying in 23rd when Jones re-joined.[59] In the following season, Jones achieved a 12th place finish after scoring 62 points – Luton's highest points total in the second tier since the 1981–82 season.[60]
In January 2022, Jones signed a new contract with Luton until 2027.[61] Results continued to improve under Jones, with him leading the club to finish 6th and qualify for the playoffs at the end of the season.[62] Though the club ultimately lost 2–1 on aggregate to Huddersfield Town in the semi-final, Jones was widely praised for his management and was named the 2021–22 EFL Championship Manager of the Season at the league's annual awards ceremony.
On holiday in Kos with my Cardiff bestie. Owner lost interest and club being run by a management team. Not sure the funds are there to pay off a contract for Jones. I don't feel entirely confident he won't go if asked.
Interview with Jones in the latest issue of Four Four Two
Did he say anything in terms of stuff?
Yeh, he said something about how it's a boyhood dream of his to manage Cardiff and it's a dream come true and I can't wait to get started. Something like that anyway, only skimmed through.

He also said he'd do it for free and help with the pitch in the summer.
Genuine question, what has Jones recently achieved to warrant interest from a Championship club ?
Cardiff need a manager to come in to a struggling, underperforming team and get results to keep them up by whatever means necessary. So basically what he did for us last season then

Nothing the press have pulled a comment he made back in 2021 about the Cardiff job but lot has changed since then … people again making 5 plus 5 = 7 plus people just look for any nugget to rock the boat ..
He won't be offered that job too often and I reckon if offered it now he'd find it very hard to resist. Will be able to go back home and manage in the Championship too.

His family live on the south coast, not exactly going home

Nothing, but an easy story to put out given his link to the club.
