  • The Harris curse continues but if Cambridge played like that for their old manager he would still have a job .. very physical with a massive height advantage which is why they only looked like scoring from set plays and they did for the first .. think MA got it spot when he said we won’t know how Harris is going to play till the game starts think that showed , we looked a little disjointed with the changes and injuries we lost CBT with an injury to add to the list mind you he was having a stinker along with it has to said  Dobson . But good managers change games we switched a Ht to 4213 and scored two excellent goals .. but then changes made and we brought in kids when we needed experience to see the fans out . They got their goal from set play and then a pen ( could not really see if it was or not ) and suddenly it was 2-2 .. this most be one of youngest 11 we had out in a pitch that finished that game .. frustrating but we come out of it with a point .. .. Cambridge proberly deserved it but they never looked like hurting us from open play .. doubt will play like that again this season new manger definitely affected this gamecafc_will said:

Completely down to Appleton…..subs were wrong
What subs could he do .. there kids .. Appleton got it spot on and made the change at ht to 4213 ..
  • Robbed by the ref.
Shocking first half. Much better second half until their first.
Too many substitutions perhaps, but ultimately the ref cost us two points.
Rylah had a nightmare, felt sorry for him. Kanu was good - put himself about a bit. Need to see more of him.
Chem was decent, CBT good in the second half, when he finally got the ball in attacking areas.
Hector was good again, and Thomas good too.
Left the ground gutted but, as I seem to say every week, there were some positives.
But the ref was awful all game.
  • How is the Linesman not seeing that? Dreadful decision.

I felt at the time it was outside the box and couldn't believe how quickly the ref gave it.

First half was appalling, but credit to Cambridge, went two down and didn't let their heads drop. We're just going through the motions with Appleton, another poor manager who will eventually get sacked. No chance we're getting the play-offs.

100% Appleton to blame for that, too negative too early and we don't have the players to game it out.
How was he negative .. he said they could not plan because they know how Harris is going to set up in Thursday and we will find out at 3 pm spot on then he changed the system at half time spot on got it right … he got to work with kids because of horrendous injury list  ..
  • What sort of mug takes the leagues leading goal scorer off for a 18 year old who has played all season.. the man is a mug
Because May was going to get himself booked ..
  • Shocking from the ref cost us points

  • We need some proper hard nuts introduced. We are a soft side.
Not sure it's about signing hard nuts.
Inniss was the definition of a hard nut, but the defence still leaked soft goals.
We need players who are mentally strong, take responsibility and provide leadership on the pitch.
    Exactly.  Hard nuts

Disagree, they should know how to kick a ball but an opponent too. One defender, one midfielder and one forward. Ladapo really ought to be that forward. Innis before his injury was the right sort of player but afterward had no mobility. Are there any Bikey types out there?

Shocking. This is where managers shouldn't be fined and banned for speaking out. We pay to watch football and refs give decisions like that in the 95th minute. Where was the pussy linesman! Why didn't he say it was outside the box. How can two officials get it so wrong

from the moment the ref allowed an offside to be taken in out half, I thought he would give a dodgy penalty
As explained on the match thread the free kick for offside was taken from the correct position.

    The penalty wasn't.

So you'd take Inniss back then would you?
He was good at kicking the opposition.
We want defenders who make good decisions and relish the pressure. That's being mentally strong.
  • I had us down for a draw before KO but was happy when it looked like we was going to get a good win
Regardless of being short of decant players being 2 up at home we should be winning the game another bad call from our manager & bad defending cost us all 3 points
Absolutely gutted we seem to have slipped back into not being able to play for 90 mins again 😒

  • Apples clearly making the point for at least the second time this season about signing men not kids.....obviously not worried about losing his job this week but he's definitely chucking the responsibility over to Andy Scott and the board.... Wouldn't it be great to actually see us get some quality in January and then see what Apples can do.
    And he’d be right .

Of course not and I said as much in my subsequent post.
  • Has Maynard Brewer ever got near a penalty?
He really needs to be working on this - who’s goalkeeping coach these days?
  • The club is going no where, appalling defensively, sorry poor manager, who is proving clueless as he does not have the technical ability to taje this team forward, and will no doubt be using the same excuses when he leaves in the new year!
They willat this rate be lucky to finish midtable at this rate! Shocking MA

You can blame Appleton all you want but ultimately if Edun doesn't dangle a leg and the ref doesn't screw up we've won that game
You are the hipster RonnieMoore. No joke.

    Stephen Henderson
  • It is a guess ultimately. We can't be harsh on a keeper for not saving a pen.
  • 100% on Appleton.

Formation looked all wrong in the first half. Why didn’t we change things as soon as we saw it wasn’t working ?

CBT is injured and he brings on TC who hasn’t been getting stuck in recently. Deji for May who was one of the few players  chasing everything.

He then chucks the kids under the bus for not wasting enough time when were 2-0 up.

    oh do f**k off.

the team selection was wrong, the subs were wrong. Watson isn't a kid. Why start with a 16 year old and then bring on a 17 year old ahead of him.

What about getting anywhere near the four on Wednesday? Some were very good mind but todays one wasn’t even in the corner.
