Complete nothing article. Assume Cawley has put this out there so other sources credit him / the SLP with being first with the news when the deal is done.

Ahem, I defo put this out there on here yesterday. Cawley can do one! 😉🤣
Scoham, absolutely not a dig at you, but Why on earth would you click on a link that’s says it’s not going to tell you anything?
In fairness, if you do read it then it's very clearly a move that is happening but there are still boxes left to tick:
"“Well until it is done, I don’t want to say too much,” said Appleton, when asked about Gillesphey. “You never say never in this game but until someone actually tells me that it is finally done and dusted them I don’t really want to comment too much.""
And as much as Appleton is deserving of a few slings and arrows at the moment, that genuinely is about all he can say currently.
Not too keen, mainly because of the recent injury.
Reading from Plymouth fans that he has a groin issue and has been working himself back to fitness?
This is the mistake we keep making, signing players before they've proven they can do a 46 game season again.
Sounds like it's a done deal, so it is what it is, just got a horrible feeling he's going to get injured or struggle for minutes based on what I am reading
This.
And didn't Andy Scott say very recently that they would be bringing in players that have been playing recently and "up to speed" rather than ones getting back to fitness ?
So then we find the very first player we sign has been out of their team for months.
no idea how true this is but it is a rumours thread after all
I know that page is all made up but that would be an unreal signing didn’t realise he was from sidcup so it could be something worth chasing as he might wanna come closer to home. Him , right winger , left back and Clarke Harris and it would be a pretty solid window with the centre back already done.

He played 71 minutes on Boxing Day.
Was out of their squad for 2 weeks in November and 6 weeks in July/August. Missed the last two games, but maybe might be something to do with the transfer.
Previous two seasons in a Plymouth side that finished 7th and 1st he played 40 and 35 league games.
This is not an Aneke with a history of injuries we are signing. I imagine the only chance we are getting to sign him because he started the season off this season injured and has not managed to make that step up.
Ultimately he is a player who has actually done the business at this level for a side that got promoted and I can’t remember the last time we signed one of those - and not just a mid-table or relegation battling POTY or captain which we seem to like to pick up.
Aneke I guess, but he was a massive waste of money and resources.
On paper for me, I think this is actually a decent signing. But we shall see.
Along with the MG we have put in bids for CM who we have been liked with previously, plus a winger who is 23 years old, has been extremely highly rated, but had a couple of years dip, it is hoped we can get him going. If we can, would be an outstanding signing.

Sounds almost like CBT, who I guess he will be replacing.
If we are staying 4-3-3/4-2-3-1/4-1-4-1 then I hope we are getting more than just one winger if CBT goes.

Sounds like Charlie Kirk lol
Was he ever highly rated..
This player we have a bid with has been in some of overseas academy’s

It's transfer window time and thanks @DubaiCAFC - as always, hoping what you are told turns out to be true - but for now, I'll sit on the fence until some players are signed and we get into the top half of Division 3..... :-)

Sorry, but for us hard of thinking types, what’s the MG and CM? CM centre midfielder?

Macaulay Gillesphey and I thought CM was centre midfielder.
Unless Charlie Methven is going to lace up the boots.

Let’s not be too hasty discounting Charlie boy, he might give Fraser a run for his money

This window will be very busy, the idea is to get as many bedded this season for next year. But let’s see what happens. Action speaks loud than words!
Where have we heard this before?!
Thanks for dropping on what you know Dubai. It’ll be one thing signing some ‘good’ players but if the wrong man is at the helm then it could all be pointless as we change him further down the line.

Lot of this now is down to Holden, he wanted a young small squad.. now we have a few injuries, Appleton left to pick it up.

Why is a winger with a 2 year dip in form an outstanding signing? It's a bit of a punt on the hope he can regain his previous form, surely.

(That's a joke, and also very true... Because I used to know the names of so many Players, where they played etc. from playing that years ago)

MK could have just recalled him as backup to Gilbey and Payne though

Could be a shout , was very highly thought of at Man City and went to Schalke
CM centre midfielder?
