    Maybe, the detail of his departure hadn't been ironed out, so they let him do the normal press conference. 
    It's not like they have to release it.

    Just found a rotten red apple on a pile of good apples in a supermarket. Apparently a rogue employee kicked it down the aisle thinking it should go. But the higher ups had other ideas.
