Ha, what makes you say that?!?! lol

F*ck me we're a hard watch now, a million miles away from the team that ended last season.

Positives, Bentancur gets better and better and Bissouma had his best game of the season yesterday.  Not much else to take from that game sadly but given the injury list, cant say any of us were expecting any different.

As for Dier, he hadnt put a foot wrong before he got his England call up.  Now his form has dropped off a cliff too.  Jeez.

Why does Conte keep playing Emerson Royal? Doherty ended last season well and Spence must be fucking terrible in training to at least not have been given a go.

I agree.  I have absolutely no idea why Conte is being so stubborn.  I saw enough of Spence in Forest's cup run last year to know we just had to go buy him as he was exactly what we needed on the right hand side yet he just doesn't get a chance.  He reminded me of a very young, raw Kyle Walker.  For crying out loud, he turned Victor Moses into a bloody effective wing back.

The 3 league games Royale missed through suspension after the sending off against Arsenal, Doherty done ok.  But as soon as Royale was available again, straight back in.  I just dont see what Conte sees in him.  He cant cross a ball to save his life.  For his system to work, he needs wing backs that can cross.  He tried another no look cross yesterday (so I'm told) and it went straight out of play.  I dont like singling out our players but I can honestly say I dont remember a right back worse than him.

At least the Beavertown Neck Oil was good yesterday.

(Will be telling this week, who Conte plays at RWB against Forest in the Cup.  If he doesn't play Spence then we may as well just send him out on loan!  Feel so sorry for the kid!)

Either that or they realised if Chelsea went for £4bn and had plenty of interest, so it's a great time to sell.

I'm surprised the Glazers haven't decided the same - I know they cream a few million off the top in dividends every year, but I'd still consider a sale for hundreds of millions each if I was one of the 6 Glazers.

I think they have got phenomenally lucky. Not invested much if at all have they? Fairly low net spend yet won the league and Champions League, will now sell at an enormous profit and be seen as good owners.  Flip of a coin really.

Bloody frustrating John Boy, if you played like the second half in the first, same old story this season. You have got out of jail on a few occasions, but a mystery why you start so slow and lacklustre.

Definitely Doherty deserves a run ahead of Emerson, Spence also is a talent so seems a bit wasted and maybe deserves a shot. Kully made a massive difference when he came on, pace, power and quality, i did wonder even when fit and rotating with Richarlinson his record and performances were too good to drop.

Agree with the last point re: Dier, people moaning, but he has been one of the best defenders this season up until the last couple, i'd take him but not sure he would start really. Personally think Burns should be starting but again hasn't played yet so maybe too risky for Mr Safe Southgate?

Bought for 300m in 2010.........now worth around 3.6bn.

Who says you can't make money owning a football club?! 275m profit for every year they've been owners.

I think with some of their key players getting older, Michael Edwards (who was responsible for their transfers) just left, and Klopp surely coming to the end of his reign in the next couple of years, it's a great time for them to sell up. Probably realised it'll cost them a fortune to stay competitive (Bellingham fee rumoured to be 100m+ as an example) and decided to cut and run.

    Yes, but not at centre-back.

Whether Shaw should be picked ahead of him is another matter

He is a Centre Back!! lol he can play LB but he is a LCB, Targett is left back for them.

Edit - He is a centre back that is filling in at LB, he can play either but LCB is his actual position.

You're correct but in fairness Burn is being picked ahead of Targett at LB, whilst Botman is the first choice LCB.

Like saying Ben White should be a starting CB for England.

There's a reason he's playing RB rather than CB, same as Dan Burn with LB.
