Anyone who thinks we’re wasteful in front of goal might want to have a look at wolves against Man U at the moment.
Three or four golden chances already, but still 0-0
If Wolves were wasteful against Man Utd, they’ve been criminally wasteful against Brentford.

Wolves and Brentford have been as bad as each other today

Both Premier League games so far this weekend have been suprisingly entertaining

Pep has got the pip with Citeeee fans .. he's pipped off that the Etihad wasn't full for the Euro game .. I reckon peppy is trying to engineer a move away from Citeeee .. he's bored and his arrogance and bad manners have turned the fans against him .. we will see
Pep has heard that the Charlton job may be available soon

Villa look a lot better now that Grealish has gone .. they no longer have a ball hugger who slows them down and makes them one dimensional and a greedy one man team

Weird end to the West Ham Man U game

David de Gea has saved his first penalty since April 2016!!!!

poetic justice really, Man U should have had 2 pens .. still ridiculous to let Noble take the kick

I can only speculate that he was denied the pen because he was already going down before the defender caught him?
Now if this is the case, why isn’t Ronaldo being booked for diving?
He'd never play again if that was the case

Great start to the season for Brighton thats for sure

Think United would have been steaming for that missed pen on Ronaldo if Noble had scored.

Cant see how on a VAR check it could possibly be turned down?! It’s stonewall.

Agreed. Think its unfair on the player, as when he missed he cost the team simple as. If a player who missed a pen played for an hour, they can look to confidence to other things they done well etc. Noble has cost his team as he did nothing else to help his team.

last season var was too intrusive and was used too much, this season it's just not being used properly

    True re: Ronaldo.

I’ve always felt they should punish diving more though. And if the reason they didn’t give that was because he was already on his way down before the contact, then that is at least progress. But if so, then they’re saying he dived, so it should be a booking, surely?

Never a pen on Ronaldo. He went down before contact.

Wasnt sure... Shame we dont have a side angle of the incident more to see when he started to lean into going down or whether his legs were just taken out.

Others were debatable but No idea how that last one on Ronaldo was t given by VAR

Enjoyed the game and thought both sides have great skill in their passing. A world away from what we normally watch. Antonio or Lingard playing for the Hammers and they could win on the day.

Correct decision with the earlier no penalty on Ronaldo as he left the ball to go into the player. The Zouma tackle hit Ronaldo and players are conditioned to go down at a certain time and despite Ronaldo on his way down it was a penalty. Shaw's stonewall this season with arm out and not by his side.

Despite De Gea not saving any of his last 40 penalties including shootouts and seeing Noble march on to take it was Bizarre as he hadn't warmed up. Bowen would have been my choice or even Rice. If Noble had Scored you would have seen a trend of players coming on to take pens in last 10 minutes.
Don't think we will now !

Spurs / Chelsea .. decent game with no goals so far .. Kane seems to have taken up a latter day Bobby Charlton role as a super striker turned midfield maestro

but what is that terrible song sky play before and after ad breaks ? .. what a terrible racket

Chelsea do look like a legitimate challenger which at least makes the premier leagues title race more interesting. Shame their fans are the most insufferable bunch of twats on the planet.

Long way to go but we could have a 4 team title race this year.

Can't help thinking that Mr Levy might regret his decision not to take the money from Kane and use it to re-build the team. They offered zero going forward and their three opening 1-0 wins have flattered to deceive their real capabilities. Beating City was a great result but doing the same to Wolves and Watford is no great achievement. Two 3-0 defeats to Palace and at home to Chelsea (2 shots on target vs Chelsea's 10) suggests that they will struggle to make even the top six let alone the top four.

The Spurs fans will also not just vent their spleen on Levy but also on Kane all the time he isn't scoring. But then the team only has 3 goals in total and he is having to scrap off bits and doing the one thing you don't want the best English striker to do - going so deep to just get a touch of the ball.
