Scored last night and in the 3 games (and a bit part in the cup) he is doing better than most. What is being asked of him is near impossible. He has non of our players close enough to him, no runners going beyond him, the formation and line up never changes so the opposition have an easy job scouting us and stick at least 2 defenders on him. The service to him is really poor and most of the time when it does come in its far too slow and the box is more crowded that usual as he is the only target.
If Sandgaard ran around the pitch naked, bar his guitar playing the Telly Tubbies theme, I would have liked it if we had a decent squad. It was so innapropriate playing his song with the squad we have and it probably highlights his lack of knowledge in terms of football. Not sure why people at the club wouldn't have explained it to him though. This start surely can't be seen as a surprise or I would be really worried.

George Dobson is the kind of player we would of signed in the Parkinson era. No real pedigree. Bit of a journeyman even at his young age. Would only ever be a fringe player at any club looking to seriously get out of this league. It's worrying me that our management team appear to think he is good enough to lead us to the championship.

Clare and Dobson haven't covered themselves in glory but I am not completely writing them off yet - it's possible with a really good creative/attacking midfielder ahead of them it will click and the midfield will be more than the sum of its parts.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised at all if any possible new signing was instead of either not as well as - there's nothing about either of them that says they will be better than decent at best.
I don't think either of them have been done many favours by having full backs with a phobia of crossing the half way line as this leaves them with Albie as the only alternative to lumping it long and he's struggling for consistency right now.

We can hope. Just seems mad to me that we've left the bulk of our recruitment to this late (if that is the case), when MK Dons got Parrott and Eisa done so early.
We know that Sandgaard passes his eye over players and approves/disapproves based on ability. We've been told so a few times. I personally think that's insane. He has no professional footballing background and is essentially now at the top of our scouting heirarchy, giving the final yes or no. He shouldn't have put himself in that position.
If Roddy has taken over from Steve which has been rumored then it is clear he is not good enough at his job we never had this problem before and to be fair to Steve look at some of the players he recruited Cullen bellicose are but a couple of realy good players.
Last season if we were chasing the game we would bring on Aneke often with good effect. This season for the 2nd game running we have brought on Watson while we are a goal behind. Sums up our transfer window perfectly.
Two weeks left to sign players and we find ourselves instead of now looking for the cherry on the top of the squad player to come in, we are in a position where we need to effectively replace half the first eleven, with enough quality to get us top six. Good luck with that. I have no idea who is calling the shots on recruitment but whether it’s TS, Adkins, Gallen or Roddy, whoever it is has blundered big time. If it’s money then we’re sunk. If it’s incompetence then that needs identifying and rooting out straight away. After four games this season is slipping away. It’s that grim.

The amount of players we’ve seemingly missed out on is a joke. Scott Twine was shoulders above Albie last night, crying out for a player like him but apparently we were not in for him. Whoever is in charge of recruitment at the moment is having a mare and I highly doubt it’s Gallen!!!

I don't believe Adkins plays any part in the recruitment whatsoever - he only met Kirk for the first time after he'd signed.
So now we know Roddy has been in charge of recruitment this summer, he should be held accountable for this shit show. Why change Gallen when he is tried and tested. Idiot move TS and not for the first time.
