The delay might have been due to Norwich not wanting to sell until they have signed other players, it might be Akin not wanting to commit until some later time or event (such as promotion) or it might be us not wanting to spend money on a transfer fee now that we can instead spend on another player.
Lots of different possible reasons for him not signing permanently, one of which is that it is dependent on promotion.7 -

Not U23's but includes players loaned out like Oztumer & Maddison. But they were on our books in 20/21 and so needed to be replaced.Scoham said:

Oztumer was replaced by whoever we signed around the time he went on loan. You could say Levitt, who was then replaced by Smith. Using your logic we need to replace them with 3 players, but they could be replaced by 1 player given when they were here and how little they played.golfaddick said:

Looking on wiki, Ipswich now have a squad of 26 and that's without youngsters.
They're surely going to have to offload a couple. Got to be worth a call to the agent of Norwood and Nolan (who are unlikely to feature much given the new signings) to see if they're happy to stay.4 -

I watched a bit of Ipswich Saturday and their CH went off with a hammy, it's OK having good attacking and midfielders but the commentator said they were short in depth in that position after the CH went off.
They will score goals but will also concede a lot if they don't add signings there.

League One and League Two clubs will be limited their squad size to 22 players for the 2020/21 season. This will be reduced to 21 and 20 in subsequent seasons (2021/22 and 2022/23 season respectively). Players aged under the age of 20 are exempt from these restrictions.

I make that we've got 17 already, including Dempsey and Davison who both count as senior players. Means we might need to shift out as well as the obvious requirement to bring players in unless we can grab U21 loans to fill slots.Dazzler21 said:
