If true, I'd expect we can match their offer to the club, no chance to the player mind.
Wanna struggle in League 1 or play in the Championship for a team with parachute payments.
Come on now!
Struggle in league 1? Really
we were not great today but we also nullified a play off contender. They had their only shot on target in the 91st minute. We drew with sheff wed, not Cambridge
Setting myself up for a fall but I can't see Sheffield United being a viable contender for Kirk.
They don't play a formation that he fits into (unless they are going to set up differently from last night). I would also think they would be targeting better/more immediate talent to chase the PL return. They already have Burke and Mousset who can play in his position if they change set up to play with out and out wingers. From his perspective he will earn a good wedge of course but he's old enough (24 in a few months) to know that if he wants to carry on moving on an upward trajectory to coincide with his peak in 3 years or so his next move needs to involve first team football on a regular basis. That puts him in the shop window to move again or means he can move upwards with the club he signs for.
Add to that Nixon breaking the story and it's not a goer.
Now if you said Stoke, Preston, Blackburn or even a Wigan then I'd see it.
100% KIrk is nailed on.....as per yesterdays post from @CH4RLTON, who apparently spoke to Crewe's communication guy, so relax everyone Monday's the day, anyway, when do we even waste time listening to anything Nixon say's?..
I struggle to see how he plays at SU with Brewster, oliver burke, mcburnie, sharp, mousset, luke freeman, ben osburn, also max lowe who they got from derby who is a left sided player all ahead of him surely
TBF we can’t do more than put the fixed fee on the table. If someone else matches it and he goes there then nothing we can do.
What I would say is…. Why has this been left so late? The fee is the same as it was back in January by the sounds. Could we not have just laid the money down back in May and not tried to wait it out?
Unless we have and it has been dragged out by the club.
I don't think it's true. But if it is, we really can't expect to compete with Championship clubs. Especially one that has just come down from the Prem.

Hopefully this is a club or agent trying to get more money - Nixon was wrong about Mullin after all.

Expect he'll be a Blade tomorrow!
