Gonna leave this here for those who are shitting themselves/ overreacting about TS, the team and apparent lack of signings etc etc..
I dont understand this panic...I honestly dont.
Things will come together, SG has done more on less and with TS backing, I have no doubt that the team will be where it needs to be come the start of the season.
Not in need of your very kind offer ...yet , but just wondering where do you start, not to panic, but show some concern for the apparent lack of new blood, even a 50/50 rumour, just something. We are just over 3 weeks away from the start of the season, and will hopefully need a week at least to bed in any new arrivals, so maybe not panic, a bit of an exaggeration, but permission to show a bit of concern.
Are any of the u-23’s good enough? Henry and Clayton might get a bit of bench time, anyone else?
I can see Henry, Davison, Vennings, Clayden, Ghandour and Aouachria getting some time throughout the season. French also seems to be progressing and I'd gamble on Roddy having a chance in the cup at least.
as many have said there are very few if any rumours. Maybe as agents and clubs know we are looking for players and have a rich owner the club are keeping very quiet about their business so that they do not give away any clues and the first we will know is when an announcement is made - well that is what I'm hoping
I wonder if we'll see any triallists tonight or Saturday. Even in a "normal" summer we usually have triallists involved in these games
Really surprised we've not seen any trialists in the first 2 games
Plus lack of trialists be down to Covid bubbles?
Wayne Rooney County seem to have a large number of players on trail with them, though I don't know if have played a match. And the Welling team tonight is full of trialists
Been doing some digging through "football sources" on why the market is so stagnant.
The general impression I have got is more than half the EFL have taken out these monitored grants (loans), the ones that are currently under embargo are only the ones that have already breached the terms.
A lot of them are waiting to sell a player to pay it back and its become a Dutch auction. Teams offering a fraction of what they know the player is worth, knowing the selling club need the money before they can do anything themselves. Good players who are out of contract are getting offered pennies. The exception is when they are players multiple clubs really want (Wyke and Pigott were mentioned by name).
From what I gather 2 or 3 "big transfers" from the EFL to the prem will kick start the whole thing, else clubs will be giving away talent come the end of August.
It's more of a poker hand than normal. Hold your nerve is the word on the street.
Anyway no idea if that's factual, just passing it on.

Sounds believable, you've got a mixture of clubs needing the money and a few like us with ambitious owners willing to invest but perhaps being patient knowing clubs will eventually have to sell. If you spend big early on word will soon get round and you'll keep having to pay bigger fees and wages.
Maybe it's being optimistic but I think it's more likely than the truth being TS has no money and expects Adkins to build a team full of academy players Roland style.

Or trailists if you're reading Welling's team sheet.

I forgot that I was also told there was a league 1 club who want a million for a player but the best offer on the table is 200k. If it gets to the end of the window they will have to take else they can't trade to Christmas. I think we could take an educated guess who that is.

That must be Tucker as seem to remember someone saying on here that Pompey offered £200k

Didn't mention a name, the only names mentioned were players that had already moved. Tucker was my thought but it could be anyone.
