Really enjoyed a brave effort by the team, thought everybody gave their best and what a left foot young Doughty has.

For the first time we can say plucky Charlton after a draw not a loss.
Lee is in a strong position with Charlton fans to get a five year contract on his terms. Not silly money but that he gets more than one years money if in a year's time it all goes pear shaped ( not likely but we must stop selling our best players)

Had a great day because I was convinced a strong WBA team would nick a late winner but the excellent Sarr marshalled the defence well late on and with Lockyer improving 2nd half after his shocking attempted back pass, but like Naby he makes a mistake but atones with a  goal.  Charlton deserved at least a point and got it.

Had a great chat with an enthusiastic fan who talks as much as me and Lyle Taylor on the train from Charlton to London Bridge. Did not realized for 5 minutes it was @JamesSeed and James didn't realize it was soapboxsam the crazy passionate fan who loves Cafc as if it was family.

James you're a top man and like myself have managed to detoxify after being taken to Millwall as a child.
Birds of a feather flock together!

Both James and myself phoned Esther  Ranzen's helpline as kids and this cruel behaviour was stopped.

You cannot fault this squad guts or heart, WBA I don't think broke sweat whereas we were dead at the end. Gallagher is Parker with an arsehole at that age, desperately missing a centre forward that the ball atifls to.

    Referee was atrocious
    ... Huh? :p

Felt offended by Slaven Bilic's comments on Quest a moment ago

"We told them that this team would be nothing more than long balls and set pieces"

Yeah what do you f**king expect you prick!!

Face our first team for once and you'll notice we're nothing like that!!
Well they didn’t listen to him then.
Was pissing me off throughout the game whenever people around me kept calling for Charlton to get the ball in the box from a FK or Corner

Said it at Half-Time yet felt it was obvious the way we were being creative with them

Bowyer surely saw something when analysing them that they didnt do well defending them in the first place

Only frustration was the eventual ball into the box was poor as bet that wasnt happening when practicing them in training!!

Anyone know what was being said between Kyle Bartley and the North Lower by the way?

Seemed to be a few words said between him and a few fans when Davison was down receiving treatment just before he was replaced by Hemed

    On the train home.

Very enjoyable game and the point was deserved. On another day we could have won it.

Pratley MoM and every time Williams turned and ran at them you could almost see their fear running down their legs! How we’ve missed him.

Highlight of the day was in the second half something kicked off on the pitch (not the Robson Kanu incident) and the three of us and some others along from us stood up for no more than 5 seconds to hurl abuse at the ref. Bloke behind said “I can’t see” to which my Robert as quick as a flash said ‘stand up then’.
I have to remind myself that I am not in the CE when I go in with me old mucka
at times and remember not to call the opposition wankas so loudly and enjoyably

the folks ain’t like that up in them seats lol

I'm right next to the directors' box and I do tend to get some disapproving looks when I shout out things like 'ref, you c*nt' at the top of my voice.

It's football and it's all about passion ffs.
The thing is Bob people don’t like it when it’s half hour before the game starts.

Did you see the way he was warming up?

He was laughing with their keeper, and the CE took exception thinking that he must think one of our players being injured was funny.

Cheers - I actually thought Bartley was quite good with Davison all afternoon

A few times they got in a tangle and fell over, usually you see the players just ignoring each other but Kyle helped Josh to his feet each time

Was a nice bit of mutual respect in acknowledgement of the honest battle going on between them both

A couple of absolute weapons were having a go, as you'd expect. I was feeling extremely embarrassed for all involved - Bartley shouldn't have been giving it all that either.

Clearly affected his concentration though as he gave Lockyer the freedom of the area barely a minute later!

Team showed real spirit - Davison was very impressive and Pratley seemed to wind their players up.

Need to cut out careless defensive errors.

Tackle of the season from Sarr - timed it perfectly.

Tackle by Sarr was superb but lets not forget Lockyer's one earlier in the season which was just as good.
    Yeah difficult to split then

    Lockyer's was slower, yet ...

Sarr's looked a lot faster the way he slid in, had he got that wrong I reckon it would have been a red card as well as a penalty
Apparently when a pen is awarded a red card is no longer issued as that's considered double punishment. Happened in millwall v stoke earlier in the season which puzzled me greatly at the time. Perhaps someone else can confirm.
I believe you can still get both if the challenge is bad enough to warrant a red for being dangerous - the penalty is for denying the opportunity, the red card is for a dangerous tackle. Otherwise it's "just" a penalty as the tackle wouldn't have been given as a yellow/red elsewhere on the field.

    ... I think?!
I think you are right. If Naby had got the challenge wrong the ref could also have given him a yellow or red depending how bad and what he'd have given elsewhere on the pitch. The rule change to stop double or triple punishment with auto red card/ penalty and suspension was stopped 6 years ago according to this article
    https://www.joe.ie/uncategorized/fouling-the-last-man-will-no-longer-be-a-red-card-offence-399749

(Ndiaye's challenge for stoke in the millwall match in October,  which was on the last man, in the box and resulted in no card for him, was therefore not deemed cynical/ professional by the ref so he wasn't carded, not even a yellow (- realise no relevance to the thread and i am likely only talking to myself by this point)).

Got to be happy coming from behind twice against the draw specialists. Nobody in the league has drawn more than West Brom's 11. That said they've only lost 2 so are a tough team to beat. Credit to Bows game management and to those boys on the pitch. Other results today we're excellent for us. Even Barnsley winning keeps Hudds below is. Don't care how tight it is so long as we above at least 3or more. Hoping for new faces to add to Bows choices. Great atmosphere by sound of it.

What was the 'racist" tannoy warning announcement for?
    I didn’t hear that.
It was played during half time, sounded like a warning that reports had been made and people caught making chants would be evicted from the ground.
    Was done pre game too.
