    Grigg get him in?.
    Is that something you've heard?
    Oh please fuck no
Yeah I'm quite relieved (would have been a different story a year or two ago)

the fact that Salford were after him says it all

34 games last season in the Dutch top flight. Can’t be too bad.

Hopefully Bowyer can do the same with him as with Gallagher.
Oh please, the usual obsession with other clubs youth player being better nonsense, he could not even get in QPR’s side! Another waste when Charlton should be doing something with their kids not Man City’s
Do come off it. No-one can sensibly argue that Charlton fail to give youngsters their shot in the first team.
That’s not what I’m saying - I’m referencing the general obsession on getting new signings and the only ones Charlton seem to look at are other people’s future profit. He’s already not done much at QPR yet now it’s ok to ignore the youth who have been thrown in the deep end these past weeks. With senior players retuning surely it’s now you keep the Charlton youngsters involved?
He’s a product of the best youth academy in the country, played 34 games last season in the Dutch top flight and has 7 full international caps for Wales. Something tells me Bowyer may feel he’d be more ready for senior football than Dempsey.
PLAYED 24 games in the dutch 2nd division not top flight.

Twente finish top of dutch 2nd division and he scored 2 goals.

    We got five loans now?.
You can have more loans but only 5 allowed in the matchday 18.
    Thanks mate.
  • Blimey  , the sale of the club was rushed through so Southall could focus on getting McGeady and Smith in on loan . Ok .

Just you wait until the Supa Dupa Deal at 10.59pm.

  • 3 hours left for any of our youngsters to go out on an EFL loan. Maloney and Wiredu had fairly unsuccessful loan spells, the former seems to have regressed as a result
The latter is too busy filming from his mobile on Instagram whilst driving.
  • I just want the window to shut now.
Any one we get now is going to be a squad player or an inferior replacement for Lyle.
    Shut that window.
    One hundred and Eighty.

  • Any sightings of Lyle at Waterloo Station?
  • Blimey  , the sale of the club was rushed through so Southall could focus on getting McGeady and Smith in on loan . Ok .
And to stop Taylor being sold.
Was that really on the cards?

Plus got Bowyer signed up and ensured Taylor wasn’t sold.
    Hate to say... Still time...
  • Any sightings of Lyle at Waterloo Station?
    Been seen at Westerlo station.
  • I'll get it in before anyone else. If we keep Taylor, which is looking likely at the moment, 'that will be our best signing of the window'.
    Jinx 🙈

Jarrod Bowen getting 80k at West Ham shows how crazy Football wages have got
Sky suggested there's an issue where West ham want to put a relegation clause which cuts his salary by 50%. Of course player and agent not happy with that!
Christ knows how he’d survive on £40k a week, poor lad

Do you think Roland would have turned down a £3m bid?
  • Any sightings of Lyle at Waterloo Station?
No, but he was spotted at Bluewater earlier
  • The lad from Blackpool wonder if we are looking at him?.

Upgrade on what Roland would have allowed

Well I have said it 28 times since January 2nd. Please keep up.

I don’t know that we did. Are we just making up nightmare hypothetical scenarios that would have happened if Roland has stayed around?

”thank goodness Southall helped us avert the slaughter of all of south London’s firstborn that would have otherwise occurred this January”.
  • Not sure why anyone would expect any amazing signings this window, we know it’s not a good one. Maybe the intention was just to get bodies in as cover, after all when everyone’s back it is a decent squad.

If ESI plan to invest in the playing squad it was always likely to be the summer when hopefully the opportunities on offer will be much better.

  • Vydra linked with Rangers. Hopefully they've been priced out of bidding for Taylor.
  • The lad from Blackpool wonder if we are looking at him?.
Said this earlier. Only one we know we bid for in August. Fits with what Cawley said. Maybe Blackpool have lowered the price to the August required amount of £350k or in that area.
  • So to date ESI have 'brought' the free bit of Charlton from RD, signed two chaps on loan who are unlikely to have commanded loan fees, sign Bowyer to a deal and got in some money from the Fosu deal.  Will they have made a profit in the one month of ownership to date?
  • Such a sense of entitlement to the point of delusion....we are Charlton bloody Athletic at the wrong end of the second division....what on earth are people really expecting 3 weeks into a new ownership in the notoriously bad January window.

    Reality checks required.

    -Duchatelet no longer calling shots
-Squad dilapidated being replenished with new bodies
-Bowyer signing a long term deal
-Chairman and owner with buoyant enthusiasm and can do attitude
-Miserable bloody fanbase (:-) )who would moan if we signed Messi because he's not Ronaldo and Otzumer sits in that role.

Cheer up folks...present is good and future a danm sight brighter than where we were 6 weeks, 6 months and 6 years ago

Have realistic expectations  and look at the positives and channel those. It's the start of a new exciting chapter and long term plan that starts in earnest in May.

Let's all get behind the club and ragtag squad in unison.

Exactly to the letter how I see it mate
