I would hate to lose Lyle, but £3m for a player with so little time left on his contract would actually be good money.
It would not be, because a ready made replacement is not available. Not as a striker, not as player who works is arse off, not as a talisman to the whole club.
How the hell is Southall going to explain selling Taylor for 3 million? well you know, he was out of contract in the summer you know, I did say I'd only accept sillyoffers but ya know now we have a Johnson Clarke Harris so you know
Right I don't wanna be too judgmental, but that is an absolutely shocking binge shop and it concerns me that this guy is who we are banking on to get the deals done.
7-Up, Sparkling water? Where are the bourbons, the biscuits. Lucozade original and not orange. Ffs we have no hope, can't even get a junk shop right
Not a Pot Noodle in sight.......or milk chocolate HobNobs come to that.....poor show.

Not if we get relegated
Of course not, completely agree. But if it is in the mind of the owners to sell, and they think they have suitable replacement, then to get £3m now isn’t bad.
As bad as this will sound 5 million is a very small figure in this division now. We can’t guarantee quality with that much.
7 and we have to listen imo, I love Taylor and although is quality that is a very good amount for him and could juice us up. That could buy us 5-7 players who would be good enough to start if used wisely

No reject it. Relegation will cost more, and thats what will happen as we wouldnt have time to bring 5-7 players in. And by the time the transfer window opens in the summer we are down and wouldnt attract the players anyway.

I tend to agree. It’s ok saying it’s only 3m but it’s not our 3m. Plus Taylor himself may be pushing the move and I’d rather have a JCH who is committed to the cause than one who might not be. I know I’ll be in the minority but there you go.
Is there really anybody here who thinks we will be better off over the next 4 months without Taylor? Whatever we may get for him? If Southall sells Taylor and we get relegated, how many years will it take Southall to get his reputation back? Remember the impact selling Kermogant had in an almost identical situation. How many fewer people will buy another season ticket in League 1 if they think it is due to selling Taylor? Whatever we may get for him now will be nothing compared to the loss of reputation and revenue if we get relegated. Whatever it costs to keep Taylor now will be worth way more than those financial and reputational losses.

Agreed but it hasnt happened yet . HE is on his way over - he won’t want to fly into a PR Disaster.
The only way it will happen if Lyle backs the club into a corner - if that happens there isn’t much of a way back. He may be better off hanging on and taking that 3-5 mil as a signing on fee in the summer
Anyone else really like the fact that it appears we’re really close to a signing (providing the chairman isn’t a total bellend) and we have absolutely no idea who it is?

he seems to have an ego bigger than his wallet.
Just sell the club and FUCK OFF
Reject it.
Needs to jump start his career again a little bit - Who else to help but Lee Bowyer
