Agree with this, thought every player gave everything no complaints on that front. We lack creativity in and around the box but then that's nothing new this season. We certainly matched them and I wasn't overly impressed with them. However they made, I think, 4 strong substitutions and that did make a difference. What we lacked in ability , we made up for in fight and desire tonight. So desperately lack enough decent players going forward that will win us games , but the players gave everything tonight. Referee was itching to give that penalty for 89 mins. He then gave everything to us for the last 5. Gonna be a long hard season , but I'm proud of how we battled. Bielik MOM after a sloppy first ten7

One thing I did notice though, Taylor needs to challenge for balls, he spends most of the game backing in to the centre half. Granted it might work with some refs but it was pretty clear early on the donut in charge wasn't going to give them but he kept on doing it. He looks lively though apart from that.3

Morgan was out of his depth first half, Pratley was awful. Aribo was off and Page was making wrong decisions. Bauer couldn't time a jump all eve and Phillips didn't command his box. Add that to one of the worst refereeing performances you're likely to see and you'll struggle to get anything out of a game.
Thought the lad from Arsenal looked tidy, very composed. Ajose changed the game when he came on, lots of clever little interplay.
Overall our poor decision making in the final third will cost us, did their keeper have to make a save? We're in the final third and because no one will put the ball into the box, Taylor comes out to do it himself and then we lose our best attacking header of the ball. Best cross all game was when they nearly put it in their own net late on.
Set pieces need some work too. Just clear the first man for fuck sake. The only real positive is how we kept trying right til the end. 8 points off the pace already.4 -

A fairly even game in which they probably just edged. I actually really enjoyed it, a game under the lights with everyone behind Bowyer and the lads. The mentality of us against the world meant it was a lively game
Ref was dreadfull even before the dodgy pen. Bielek and Dembele the two best players on the pitch
A word for Ajose, who i don't particularly rate, but he did really well when he came on, looked a different player.8 -

Those in here saying we are shit are posting without watching the bloody game. Either that, or they don’t know FA about football. We are lacking a lot of quality, but the team played some good stuff tonight and were very unlucky to lose. Maybe 0-0 would have been fair, but we done all we could to nick it. Bowyer seems to be squeezing as much as he can from this bunch of players. The players are trying and need a bit more luck. When some of the injured players come back things should be clearer, we could make the playoffs IMO. Moaning for the sake of moaning won’t help.15

First Half we were a bit all over the place yet we completely dominated the second half and were unlucky not to score; Peterborough were shite and as said, if they're top of the Division it doesnt say much for the rest of the League certainly dont expect them to stay there for the duration of the season and definitely dont see someone running away with it as bar Toney's effort which was brilliantly saved by Dillon Phillips (who has had a serious amount of doubters) they created absolutely nothing
Chris Solly was meant to be rubbish at Wing-Back but he was bloody excellent tonight, their main threat came from Dembele, Solly wasnt just dealing with his pace and getting back to cover yet also most of our attacks were coming down his side too with some proper classical Solly challenges in the second half
Aribo was poor first half / Morgan was excellent first half yet the two swapped performances in the dressing room with young Albie struggling to get into the game - Thought that bringing on Ajose was a sign of Bowyer losing the plot yet it was another brilliant move and the three of Taylor | Grant | Ajose caused constantly issues and put serious pressure on the Peterborough Defence, its as I've said for a long time though, we can try and sign all the Strikers / Defenders etc. all we want but if we dont have a creative midfielder then thats going to count for squat which is what it ultimately came down to tonight
As for the ref he was a complete embarrassment, couldnt wait to give the penalty and surprised he didnt celebrate with them - All Referees make mistakes but the fact he pointed in the wrong direction for a Charlton Free-Kick early in the second half meant for me that he wasnt paying enough attention to the game as a whole!!
Hard luck Charlton, we wont be in trouble this season yet with our seriously small squad, we could yet be a threat in a few months, especially if thats the best Peterborough can do (a side who have done a LOT in the Transfer Market this season)16
