I had visions of that 4-4 game against Millwall when we conceeded the 3rd. Well done to the lads for seeing it out. Looking forward to bringing my boy along for the first time in over a year next weekend, more of the same please

Laugh at those getting ahead of themselves about promotion! If we keep easily leaking goals from the likes of the Oldham Athletic's - it will become same old story come Christmas.

How many times have we leaked easy goals this season?
That was a tough one. What a game. I paid to see the live stream and well worth it.
First 30 we looked like world beaters and deservedly up 2-0.
A dubious penalty (from what I could see anyway) totally changed the game and the rest of the half they were all over us. We just fell apart and lucky to go in still 2-1 up.
The start of the second half was much as the first half ended and it was no surprise that they equalized with a route 1 goal that we seemed to stand back and let happen.
Then the 2nd yellow and red to them which changed the game again as they were looking stronger.
We kind of took control and scored 2 more. Should have been 5 but Dodoo fluffed his lines and they went straight up the other end and made it 4-3.
So, squeaky bum time which we, just, managed to survive. Phew. What a game.
Apart from his goal, which he took well, I didn't rate Dodoo. He was a liability towards the end by giving away a free kick in a dodgy position and received a clumsy yellow in the process. Let's just put it down to him not being match fit but he looked a bit of a donkey to be honest.
I thought Jackson was off the pace and also looked a liability. Kashi was immense as usual. Fosu had a good game. Ricky was just Ricky and what a goal. Defence looked a bit dodgy to me. Amos did ok and couldn't do much with any of their goals as far as I could see. Clarke looked strong in the first 30 and then just lost direction as they all seemed to at the point. Couldn't put my finger on why. Did they change their midfield?
Like I said, the live stream was well worth it to me and long may it continue.
3 points away up at Oldham is not too shabby.
We missed Da Silva and Mag.
Bit harsh on Dodoo in his first game, especially as he scored. I don't disagree but he's hardly had a chance to settle in.
It was a good result given we were two short and a great goal from Ricky, although I think the red card was key.

I laugh at those that suck the joy out of football. If you don't liked it go watch netball it's live on Sky.
Controlled it up until their dodgy penalty and we were lucky to go in at half-time 2-1 up.
They couldn't handle Fosu or Holmes. I forgot how good Kashi was. So composed and confident at all times.
Jason Pearce, especially in the first half, was a rock. Chris Solly was out of sorts, being taken out by one of theirs by a very late challenge probably didn't help. Not even a yellow.
I said it in the match thread but that Holmes goal was a thing of beauty. You knew it was going in as soon as he hit it. Make sure you see it.
Clarke is a very intelligent footballer and got a deserved goal with a cleverly placed finish to complete an excellent phase of football from us. Great team goal.
Dodoo is an upgrade on KAG, perfect run behind the defence and another composed finish. Dare I say it but it reminded me of Darren Bent, I.e, you always knew he was going to score if you got him in a one-on-one.
KAG works hard but at the moment he's just not quite ready.
The referee was awful and I don't understand why Oldham fans feel aggrieved. The red card was overdue from one of the dirtiest sides I've seen in a long time. Never a penalty either. Ever decision went their way.
If we're going to press high we have to make sure we can contain any counter attack. At the moment, we still struggle with that.
Overall a deserved win and some entertaining football. Oh, and I hope Oldham go down. Horrible club. Moronic fans.
Next week Southend phil brown likes to attack which will suit us just fine. Happy times to be an addict. In KR i trust none of had heard of Doodo yet he pops up and does the business
Well still reeling from the match. Writing this in the train.
First 25 mins was best I've seen Charlton play, no question. Two great goals, fluid play, total possession, with Oldham shell shocked. The travelling Addicks couldn't believe what they were seeing. Predictions of 5 or 6.
Then Oldham took someone off, brought on a chopper Harris, and got physical. Very physical. They had the better of the rest of the first half. Kicked the crap out of us.
At 2-2 Fane, who ran the show at the Valley last year paid the price for their new approach.
And we started to pass the ball around again.
All our goals were special. Holmes' was a Ricky classic, Fosu's a good finish after a nice build up, Billy Clarke opened up his body and steered it into the corner, nicely set up by Fosu. Joe Dodoo, who showed nice touches and decent physicality, took his calmly. No blasting the ball at the keeper. For someone who hasn't played much he looked very promising.
Not sure why KAG went off. He was struggling a bit maybe?
JJ and Solly both had good games, but Oldham got far too many crosses in for my liking.
Pearce and Bauer collided to allow Oldham their third. A rare mix up.
We missed Dasilva's passing and crossing. Amos pulled off a great save at the end of the first half, backed up by Billy Clarke who just skimmed the ball over the crossbar when an Oldham leveller looked certain a minute later.
It was disappointing to let them back into the match after leading 4-2.
The ref was a lunatic.
Karl Robinson said hello to me after the game. I nearly said I was Jimmy Seed's grandson but the face of @Henry Irving popped up in my mind, so I kept schtum.
Still, a great three points, and at times we looked very classy indeed.

Lovely
"There was some diabolical defending there"
