The battle of the Athletics, to find out which club is truly worthy of the grandiose, highly coveted title.
Round one goes to the Addicks. The true athletics of the Football League, for now.
Another solid win in a ding-dong-doodoo battle for the ages.
Over to you.

Peterborough drop their first points as they only draw at Doncaster, amazingly Shrewsbury are now second!
I think the result answers that question.
Just imagine how easy it would have been if Roland had provided us with a strike force? What's that, our new striker scored on his debut?
Not great defensively but I'm happy with any win in the circumstances.
I have a feeling this year is ours , we are just so good going forward.
10 goals in our last 3 games, including 6 goals in 2 successive games away from home.
Sounds as if the ref had a mare upsetting both sets of fans.
Up to 3rd now and looking good.
Back to the toad in hole thread.
That was a very odd game of football. From the openness to the bookings to the penalty no one saw which really changed the game.
But in the end we had enough quality and saw the game out with some good set piece defending in the last ten minutes.
Said it about Rotherham away, and will say it again, these are the kinds of games promotion sides win, and I think we'd have drawn with Rotherham and lost this game last season.
Robbos red and white army etc?
Goals coming from all over the team again which is promising, and our front 4 seems to be very strong, even better when we have Magennis, Reeves and Marshall to come. When was the last time we scored 4 goals twice in such a short space of time? Early days but we look strong in attack.
Looking forward to seeing Holmes' stunner. Winning momentum continues and that's very important.
Referee seems to have his own idea on the laws of football as that's a total of 22 yellow cards in the last two games he has officiated. Every 2.4 fouls today, there was a card, seems like he needs some more education on the laws and how to manage and officiate the game effectively, and this is coming from a qualified referee.
Most importantly, we won and a massive well done to the traveling fans and the people who contributed to the updates on the match thread today.
Happy days, great stuff!
Fat scouser, sha la la
But 4 goals away from home ain't too shabby and after 5 real games together in a team which has a lot of new faces I feel a little optimistic tonight.
Shame we couldn't find a fifth. Maybe next time.
First 30 we looked like world beaters and deservedly up 2-0.
A dubious penalty (from what I could see anyway) totally changed the game and the rest of the half they were all over us. We just fell apart and lucky to go in still 2-1 up.
The start of the second half was much as the first half ended and it was no surprise that they equalized with a route 1 goal that we seemed to stand back and let happen.
Then the 2nd yellow and red to them which changed the game again as they were looking stronger.
We kind of took control and scored 2 more. Should have been 5 but Dodoo fluffed his lines and they went straight up the other end and made it 4-3.
So, squeaky bum time which we, just, managed to survive. Phew. What a game.
Apart from his goal, which he took well, I didn't rate Dodoo. He was a liability towards the end by giving away a free kick in a dodgy position and received a clumsy yellow in the process. Let's just put it down to him not being match fit but he looked a bit of a donkey to be honest.
I thought Jackson was off the pace and also looked a liability. Kashi was immense as usual. Fosu had a good game. Ricky was just Ricky and what a goal. Defence looked a bit dodgy to me. Amos did ok and couldn't do much with any of their goals as far as I could see. Clarke looked strong in the first 30 and then just lost direction as they all seemed to at the point. Couldn't put my finger on why. Did they change their midfield?
Like I said, the live stream was well worth it to me and long may it continue.
3 points away up at Oldham is not too shabby.
We missed Da Silva and Mag.
Whatever you may think of Karl Robinson, his romantic style of attacking football is resulting in goals galore.
And today we didn't even have a proper centre forward!
They got a pen which I think was correct and for some reason we just stopped doing everything that was working. Sat back far to much in centre of midfield and the equaliser seem just a matter of time.
Then again seemed to up it and should of scored 3 more but did not take the last chance and then sat off again and let them make it more nervous than it should of been.
Good attacking signs but a bit worrying how they did seem to get through our centre today.
All in all a good away day and I will take that
I really thought Billy Clarke would be a bit of a Paul Hayes/Simon Church type of attacker who worked hard but caught a lot of flak from the stands but he's been great so far. Really happy with him
