It's not losing Ajose. It's the way in which it's done that points to problems. Can you remember when the club had competent people in charge who ran the club smoothly?
Was hoping we would go with Reeves and Clarke, now thinking Reeves and Ceballos could have done the trick.
Watt, Ceballos and Clarke playing the number 10 role in pre season makes you think Reeves isn't needed in terms of numbers, but maybe quality. Leads me to think Clarke might not be the greatest signing, especially as we paid a fee when Reeves is better and free
No need to get Reeves if Ceballos stays & then we can strengthen where we really need it.......a GK, LB & a STRIKER.
The LB could be Da Silva, but seeing as he's been with the U19's all summer he will need a rest & we kick off the season in just 2 weeks time. - aee we really going to start with Jacko there ???

I agree, I just don't think KR saw that as the case. I reckon he wanted Reeves/Clarke at Number 10, now Ceballos is doing the job there (albeit only pre-season), he probably realises he doesn't need all 3. With that the case, I think the signing of Clarke was a poor one as we could possibly have had Reeves/Ceballos, and saved paying a fee too.
We want 6 AMs/wingers, we have Holmes, Clarke, Marshall and Fosu currently, so suggest we will have 2 of Ceballos, Reeves and Stewart.

Reeves! Is he signed. Woohoo!!
I still think we stand a good chance of signing him.
Bury are in League 2 so not really an issue we are strengthening them is it.
And, let's be honest, Ajose is really rather shit.
Howler from a regime apologist
Particularly after seeing who he was mixing with at UCD.
Care to let the rest of us know Elfie?
It's nothing exciting. I was at all 3 games in Ireland with the squad. Sat with The Parkes' and my father. Travelled with them and some of the CAFC staff there too.
Quite what that's got to do with Bury's finishing position is anyone's guess
Says a lot about you
I don't agree with his views but he can't exactly be expected to shun friends etc. Sue may have said things she should regret and that has besmurched her husbands hard work but the response has not been very mature. Anyway @swisdom carry on sitting with anybody you lile but try to understand why the regime is viewed as the enemy by the vast majority of supporters.

yes he can
The Parkes are also shunning people that were their friends because they have a different point of view to them.

St Truiden are Duchatalets home team....the one who he supports and watches every week. Is it therefore not logical that he will do what is best for them rather than us? Or is that simplifying things too much?
It sounds like KR hasn't a clue, because he has little say in the matter.
I don't read it that way. I think this sums it up: “Is there better out there is the question. If we’re going to let this players go, we have to replace them with better otherwise we weaken ourselves.”
It's hard for me to understand what more Ceballos could be doing to earn his place here.

And neither does Pussy Galore......I'm certain Goldfinger runs the show behind the scenes......he is the puppeteer in all of these bewildering coming and goings. There's been so many that one has scarcely been able to keep up with it all.....I know I haven't! I wouldn't mind betting we've had more comings and goings than any club in the country since his arrival. The turnover in players, backroom staff and coaching staff, to say nothing of managers is nothing short of an embarrassing fiasco of the first order. There is simply no cohesion, no stability no Charlton as we once knew it.....just who are these bunch of fukwits running the show.....it's one huge clusterfuck I tell ya. A bunch of loonies that shouldn't be allowed within a million miles of a village pub team let alone us unfortunate put upon Addicks. I and the vast majority of Addicks want them gone ASAP. Ok, we may jump out of one frying pan into another but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it as we always have and always will.
I read it as the club are trying to move both players on, probably because KR wants Reeves instead of Ceballos and wants somebody else instead of Sarr but is unlikely to sign either until Ceballos and/or Sarr are moved on.
It also makes you wonder if KR is pig-headed enough to want Reeves instead of Ceballos regardless of what Ceballos does in pre-season, and if Ceballos is performing above KR's expectations then it muddies the waters again. Either way I feel if Reeves wants to join then KR will make it happen and Ceballos gets shipped out to St. Truiden again regardless how he's done pre-season.

That would be...frustrating, to say the least. The longer we wait, the better Ben Reeves becomes. I've long sung his praises, but I don't think he's a world beater. I think he's a good League One, and *maybe* an okay Championship player. I think former Barcelona and Spurs player Cristian Ceballos has the ability to succeed at a higher level.
Seems Robinson wanted to keep Ajose yet seems Nicky wanted to go...
I call bullshit on this. He never made Ajose welcome from the day he walked in.
Agreed... He was out the door the moment January came round, even if Ajose wanted to leave I cant blame him as he hadnt been given a single chance to prove himself
Even this pre-season he was given one game against Crumlin (?)
In which my son and others who were there said he looked disinterested and was awful
FUCK me she has actually managed to sell a player rather than loan him out and pay his wages. Impressive.
I'm not sure moving a player on to another network club exactly counts as a sale!
Regardless, he's off the wage book, RD hasn't lost any money (not that I'd care if he did) but it's about CAFC's finances and what this means KR might be able to do now that counts.
You just know what'll happen here.....we'll sign Reeves and sell CC. Reeves will be average at best and for the next 2 years CC will be a Charlton legend based on four pre season games. (I'd keep CC, for the record)
If the economics dictate that it is either Reeves or Cellabos who would you choose ? A punt on CC who hasn't got form or history in league one and regardless of decent pre season form none of us are sure he can do it consistently in the rough and tumble of third teir football or Reeves who Robinson has faith in and at least has a league one form guide to base a judgement on. I think I know which way the mop flops for Karl and although I'd be happy to see Celllabos given a shot I think the safer bet might well be Reeves.
Of course it might not come down to either or and Reeves might not be coming anyway.
That reads like "we'll get rid if we can but just in case we cant they are good players"
It reads more like "I'd like them to stay as they've both put in a shift, but the owner might want to ship them out and I get no say on that so I'd have to say they'll be replaced by better in the media so the owner has less choice."

Spot on for me, and Reeves scores goals. And if you get Reeves and sell Cab you have made a profit as well. That said I hope he stays.

Ideally we'll have both with. We have Clarke as well but it may be that Ceballos is better off out wide.
