What are peoples thoughts on Charlton signing Rickie Lambert on free? (not a rumour) Personally I feel for a season he could be a good addition to the team. Mid 30s I believe.
Since he left Southampton he's scored 8 goals in the last 4 years, and he's not got a great injury record in that time. I'd avoid...
Talking Football at work with a fellow Reading fan, after receiving a gibe about how Charlton arent very good, I responded saying that if we're crap then we'll have our Charlton Legend back... The response received was that Yann is broken and that we're welcome to him.
Discussions over the transfer are due to continue after the Weekend so watch this space!!

He's just had a hip and groin op so I very much doubt he will be going anywhere until January at the earliest!
We are becoming the Chelsea of leauge one. Only they loan out good players and replace the with great ones. We loan out good players and replace them with fecking shit ones. Backward step ! So we are defiantly playing one up front all fecking season, and will fail to score more than 1 goal in 75% of our fixtures. Looks like 1-1 every week is the same old 1-1 as last season.
at the end of his contract he would have played 10 games for us, 70 odd elsewhere cost us a 600k fee and probably the same in wages. Does KM not see that paying over the odds in wages means no one will take them on and we get stuck with Twatt, Igor, Ajose, Saar, Tex etc etc and meanwhile the first team suffers as a result. One of many reasons why RD must go.

How do you know his replacement is shite and it's a backward step?

Because we wont be getting a replacement & the rest of our striker are crap.
One the bad side, we have strengthened a Bury side which looks much better this season, and is somewhere where I believe he will score goals.
On the plus side, he is clearly someone who doesn't fit into Robinson's system and is on high wages. It also means we might be able to bring in players who Robinson does want. I also believe we will sign another striker as going into the season with just Magennis, Novak and Watt as players with league experience would be very, very foolish.
Found his performances very frustrating. His finishing was poor and his first touch worse.
Neither manager played a system that suited him and he was wasted out wide but he didnt perform well imho.
Bury have sold a player for 900k and replaced him with a subsidized loan. Good business for them.
We've temporarily moved on a player who didn't suit our formation and freed up some of his wages. OK business for us but again the mistakes of the past hang like a mill stone around our neck.

Hopefully we get someone new in , but I strongly doubt it
What percentage of his wages are we paying still?
