I fail to see how any of us can make a judgement about Page.
Hard to avoid making a judgement in my opinion.
What most people forget to do (especially on the internet) is realise they can change their mind, and that it is ok to be wrong.
I agree but there are a lot of people on the internet and read something and think it's gospel. Several people will say "Page is shit" and a few sheeple will then believe and repeat it and before long it becomes generally accepted that "Page is shit" whereas the originator might now have formed a different opinion.
There is no way we can judge him yet - there have been flashes of decent defensive understanding and times when his passing has made him look like an amateur. He needs games time to get some consistency..
Anyone remember DaSilva's debut? Many people wrote him off after a 20 minute cameo - yet we now know he is a wonderful prospect and all because he got some game time.
You don't need to watch a player to know they're shit - there's enough experts to ask. It's been decided that Page is shit so can we please agree on him being this season's scapegoat.
Since Foxy and Francis left we've struggled to really abuse players. I love listening to our fans calling a player a 'useless c***' when they're stood about two yards away - it really boosts their confidence.

Was shocked that his only time in the Premier League was with Cardiff City, even more surprised he plays for Inter now.
I thought he played for another minor team now and was gonna express my disbelief that another Premier League team hadnt signed him up
Da Silva would possibly lose an ariel battle with Peter Crouch but you take that into account and use strengths not expose weaknesses. Da Silva is good for this division in my eyes, although a long sustained tough campaign is something he hasn't experienced yet.

Chris Perry was one of the shortest centre halves going, but he kept Peter Crouch in his pocket when he played against at the Valley. Hieight isn't everything.
As for why is all gone quiet on the transfer front - all in Ireland doing pre-season & we all know there is no internet, wifi or mobile phone signal over there - KR is trying to use smoke signals to communicate with KR but she is having trouble trying to read them & is blaming Donald Trump for all the smoke in the atmosphere !!

He played more in central midfield there, which is where he'd played for Sevilla. He plays center half for Chile, as part of that fantastic generation of exceptionally talented, athletic short players who pressed their way to two Copa America wins and a Confed Cup final.

This sounds crazy but ... Surely its worth getting Sarr back to check him out. He's had another years experience, important for a comparative youngster. And he would be operating in a lower league - he might just have found his level.

It's the first I've heard of such a thing. He is much maligned on here, but that seems to be down to some ropey performances two years ago.
He was player of the tournament at the Toulon Tournament in I want to say 2014. The couple times I saw him he looked very good there. He was thrown into our team with a young goalkeeper (Pope) and Bauer who was new to the league and Diarra who is not a CB by trade and then Lennon who is also young and has his own growing to do.
And that's not to mention that Luzon and Fraeye were his coaches.
He came through the Lyon academy then went to Sporting. There is clearly ability there to work with, despite the jokes and japes. Whether or not he's interested or this is the right club or league for him is another matter, but I don't see why he shouldn't at least be given a chance.
I always said I do think Sarr isn't 'that' bad and had some potential. The fact he didn't set the world alight in the French second tier doesn't bode too well but I'd still give him a go.

very few teams rely on their full backs to be the source of any aerial threat so I don't think his height is an issue at all. I would prefer a full back that can defend, pass and offer a bit going forward than a lump who can defend and make himself be known but a poor footballer.
I do agree though that having the likes of Da Silva means its important to have some power elsewhere, that's where the likes of the CBs and Josh will come in.

Yet people also complained when we had 6ft+ Fox. Ultimately height is almost irrelevant in fullbacks. Look at some of the best of the past 10 years. Lahm, Alba, Alves, Carlos. That's not the area where we should be looking to make up height and Da Silva would definitely be one of it not the best full back in the league.
My issue with Da Silva (and it probably sounds pretty minor) in the handful of games I saw him last year was how slow he was to get wide when we won the ball back in our defensive third. Minor I know but it drove me nuts how he never (in the games I saw) got wide quickly to provide an outlet and we often had to go the other way when that wasn't the best option.

I have two reasons:
1) the flat he lives in when at Sint Truiden looks to be pretty ordinary
2) @'Big in Brasov' played a wonderful Ceballos corner in a dads v sons 2 a side on blackheath at the weekend.
