in my tent by The Valley gates now, been here 10 hours to ensure I am first in line for next seasons ticket. It is like the announcement of a new Apple product.
I have been told this evening that one of the interested parties have walked away from any further negotiations. I don't believe it is the Australian party but need to follow up.
Tell you what. If the boycotters return for the last 2 games i will put off buying a season ticket. Note This is not a dig at the boycotters its thier choice to do as they wish
Why would I return for the last two games and undo all the hard work I have put into boycotting so far.

Silence , in this case no news is bad news ... We’ll be left with Roland forever
Or maybe it is good news.
Not that I don't want brother @Redhenry's lot (don't know enough about them) over the Aussies (don't know enough about them either).
But my theory is that Duchatelet has a bird in hand (the Aussie bid that has been on the table for a long time, perhaps as far back as October 2017).
But that has allowed him to look for two birds in the bush (The Scottish/South African McLeish group, Redhenry's Saudis, the mythical British group, maybe others).
If there is just one live bidder then that might focus Roland's mind and make him realise that he ain't gonna get more from elsewhere and he'd be better off taking the money on offer now and going.
Proud to say I have read every post on this thread. Who is with me?
Nah I just skim read till I see an Airman or RedHenry post
Your Lack of Dedication disturbs me ;-)
I spend enough time on this forum as it is... If I were to read every post I'd end up with my wife wondering where I've gone, I'd have a headache and the only word I'll be able to utter is "pot noodle"
Wherever it is that the Aussies are walking away from must have a tricky revolving door, because this must be about the fifth time they've 'walked away'.
I'm really not concerned about one of the parties walking away.
If there are/were 2 or 3 parties, sooner or later 1 or 2 of those are going to have to miss out (walk way, be outbid, call it what you want) in order to get to the party that has won. By definition, we NEED the ones who aren't going to succeed to be out to bring the whole saga to a conclusion.
Of course, the nightmare scenario is that they all walk away - but that is a nightmare for Duchatelet too so I doubt he would allow that to happen. At least not irretrievably.

I have a hunch the British and Saudis are one and the same.
Just caught up with the last couple of pages on this thread.
I feel we are nearing the end now. Proud to say I have read every post on this thread. Who is with me?
Yep and me.............. And, I've printed all the comments individually, framed them and will take them outside the museum for future generations to see.
