Heard Bowyer was gonna sign but not before the Playoffs. WIOTOS

He knows his value has just increased.
  • I’m very sceptical that any deal is close but you do have to wonder why AM and GM were present.
They were present at the playoff matches against Shrewsbury last year to. Maybe they just enjoy playing at being football club owners.
  • Hardly likely though is it.
  • Not only has Lee Bowyer's status increased, but will the players get a bonus for promotion, and the players still under contract for next season: Taylor, Phillips etc get a wage increase ?

Anyone ITK on current Charlton contracts ?

At least one freebie will hopefully sign soon after. Again WIOTOS
Completely new player or existing out of contract player?

I hope they're not expecting to collect on any bonus promised by RD....
No ambiguity on a written contract for players if promotion is achieved unlike the admin or maintenance staff where bonus targets are opaque in many companies including Duchatelet's Ownership of Charlton.

No ambiguity on the staff bonuses but players have a very strong union.
  • We should hear something this week hopefully, on who may be staying, as I recall L.B saying he was going to speak to them this week.

Would it be reasonable to think , when the Newcastle deal is done. Ashley buys us, invests a few 10s of millions, we go up within a few years and he sells us for a profit in the Prem. I know it’s all dreams but wouldn’t that make business sense?

The Issue is money is no guarantee to get to the prem, look how much Leeds have invested in recent years.

    Reason enough to sell :rage:

  • Is there a time limit on due diligence? Would the Aussies need to do it (or certain aspects of it) again?

Is it Adrian Rabiot? Juan Mata? Daniel sturridge or Danny welbeck?

If they’re not buying the club then this is the wrong thread.
