Someone posting on FB that the deal is already done.
Lot of this around in the last few days. One problem though is journos coming fresh to the story and taking what they are told at face value.
Muir’s interest is genuine and has been consistent, but he hasn’t been prepared to buy the club outright. Amazing the Aussies are still there two years after the story broke, but there is other interest.
So if there’s other interest it doesn’t suggest anything is close?

There have been whispers among the media that it is but obviously the people who have covered the story are now very sceptical of anything. What I know is that Muir has maintained his interest and that there are others on the scene, but I’m told Duchâtelet wanted a payment when new owners got the team promoted to the Championship, which doesn’t stack up financially. That element is now going to become fixed, because we’re in the Championship, but it’s part of the value being sold so maybe there will be more willingness to pay it.
A year on since they last appeared in front of Charlton fans.
Given up trying to work out what their motives are. Bizarre that their takeover deal could still be alive 2 years later, as you'd assume with any normal buyer that they'd either have closed the deal OR moved on to other targets
One method of learning something, not the only one granted, is by past experience. Feels like yet another fruitless round of stories.
When you lose something, you look in lots of places until you find it. Not finding it in the first few places you look doesn't mean it won't be found eventually.
We do need something soon if we hope to keep Bower, Bauer, Aribo and Williams and not sell Taylor. Yesterday will mean so much more it it ensures the takeover will happen otherwise I still fear for the future of my club.
One thing Lee and the boys have done is show the massive potential we have as a club. The support is there COYR

This ! It just doesn't make sense to me.
They were over for the cricket and couldn't get a freebie for Villa v Derby.

If a price has been agreed but it involves a significant extra payment upon promotion I can see why prospective buyers might balk at it. Giving Roland an extra £10m or whatever for achieving what he failed to do/couldn't be bothered to attempt would stick in my craw too. Cross fingers that problem is gone now and the arguing over a few player sell-on clauses can be put to bed quickly.
why would you pay him say 10m on promotion if you can wait until we are promoted and pay a more realistic price. Personally I’m happy the Aussies are still hanging around. Shows they are serious about buying the Club but not willing to pay an unrealistic price for it. Others have walked never to be seen or heard from again.
