Daisy obviously has a financial limit for wages / remuneration and, what with the fact that we are still contributing to or paying the wages of a number of players on loan, there are probably no funds left to pay Tex any appearance money.

The total amount the club costs RD is 1.5% of his worth and he has a spreadsheet which shows him how much time he needs to spend on his investments dependent on how much of his net worth they take up.
Unfortunately Tex has an appearance bonus which would take us to 1.500001% of RD's net worth which would take us into the next category of his spreadsheet and result in RD having to spend half of one day every two years at the club on a match day.
Therefore Tex does not play.
Either that or Slade thinks Johnson and Lennon are better than Tex...
KM won't pay his appearance money, Slade will have to do without until we get desperate........highest paid player still training at Sparrows Lane. KM tried but couldn't move him on during the summer for obvious reasons and for obvious reasons there were no takers.........hence this stalemate.
Is that appearance money to him per game or a fee to his former club if he plays a certain number of games?
As I understand it, he is on appearance money per game in addition to a basic. The basic is enough to keep him here and the appearance has to come out of the "budget"........he won't/isn't being asked to travel and play in U-23 away games either, but will be kept fit in training and home U-23 matches.
Makes sense. Another total cock-up as we have the best defender in the division by a far way and we can't/won't/don't play him
Am sure he wouldn't have given away the pen the way Lennon did last night so that would have been two points that could go against the cost of his appearance fee
Good player but what a dreadful waste of money, probably worse than the Polish dude. We were more or less certainties to go down when he signed.
No1 has posted exactly what I was told. That is why I keep on posting that Texeira will not play again for us. Unless all the centre half's get injured or suspended. With Baeur, Lennon, Thomas, Konsa, Pearce and Johnson, it is highly unlikely that Texeira will appear for us again, which is sad because I rate him.
They'd be better off shipping some of those on Plumbs list out on loan to save on wages to put towards Tex's so he can play whilst balancing the non balanced books

Won't happen with no short term loan window in the FL. They can only go on loan to the Conference or below.
What feckin' idiot negotiated the Teixiera contract ? Charlton were under serious & perilous threat of relegation in Jan 16. Why didn't the buffoon negotiating that consider that when considering the contract terms ? So the best central defender alongside Bauer won't be played because the bonus payment for playing him breaks the constraints of their self imposed budget ? Utter madness. And Meire & Duchatelet wonder why Charlton supporters question their competency to run a football club.
In addition Charlton are being charged interest on money lost in this arrangement at 3%. This debt Duchatelet expects to get back when he sells ? That takes some balls to expect that.
It also amply evidences the lack of seriousness of Duchatelet's ambition to get out of League One. What utter bollocks. These are the questions that Duchatelet & Meire need to answer but never will. They refuse to be accountable for the inept misrunnimg of the club & the continual throwing away of the budget that they limit. I bleedin' hate them for their constant mismanagement.

Thank god it ain't a long term contract hes going to be idle under. Only another 4 years to go.

Never thought of it like that, a very valid comment.
Letting Johnson and Lennon go/on loan would release the funds.

You'd make a good CEO oohaah!
Valid idea but nobody would pay Johnson's wages either I'm guessing so the only way he would have gone on loan would have been if we'd still paid some of them which defeats the object in some ways.

Still a slim chance there is someone else in the football world as thick as KM to take on Johnson and Tex on the same terms she gave them!
But remember we are "financially stable" and the £50m debt doesn't matter according to Meire.
Yet we can't play our best players as they are too expensive.
Is she lying again?
Mmmmmm.
Sociopath: A sociopath is typically defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. A sociopath is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused—it is done to get one’s way). Sociopaths have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. Sociopaths are often charming and charismatic, but they use their talented social skills in manipulative and self-centered ways.
Compulsive liar: A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (unlike sociopaths), rather they simply lie out of habit—an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship.

Well Meire (I think) said we weren't planning for relegation in March, when we were as good as down.
So she sure as hell wasn't planning for it in January.
Chris Parkes also assured me late February, that there was no way we were going down.
Unless I am totally mistaken then, doesn't that mean that we now have Tex, Ba, Watt and Kashi (I know he is injured), that we are paying big wages for, but are unavailable to play for us?
Add to that list Roger Johnson, who is unlikely to play, and so far past it that we may as well pay his contract off now anyhow, as we have enough centre backs to possibly invade a small West Indian colony.
In the meantime we have literally no legs or youth in the centre of midfield.
The incompetence of those running the club is comical.
Forgot about him!! Yep the list goes on, giving our recent negotiating history I am willing to bet that we will be paying the majority of his and Watt's wages.

A gamble obviously, but if playing Tex meant we got promoted (yes, I know), then the outlay would be recouped in the Championship surely?
