Bloody hell that was dire today. The few highlights for me were standing up against the board, seeing Wolves play in their traditional colours & a small girls face as she stroked a police horse outside the chip shop.

We need to boycott the Forest game -and not just a few hundred of us- This action has huge publicity value and places RD in a very dificult position. How much organisation does it take? -A healthy number of 'stewards' on the day (with powers of gentle persuasion!) and armed with as many leaflets as it takes...... Forget about blaming Fraeye, or any of our Conference-standard players (who are actually trying their best) or even Vaz Te (who disgracefully isn't trying his best)... the only focus of attention needs to be Duchatalet himself. My season ticket matters nothing in comparison with the Club itself. These are extraordinary times which require extraordinary action.

TBH it's probably better to let it happen on its own. As soon as you start organising something the 'No-one tells me what to do. I support the boys' brigade get in a lather and it all goes wrong.

At least the pitch looks nice.

The pitch was not at its best, hardly surprising with the amount of rain there has been lately.

Not rain but the tears of laughter from CP and Millwall fans........

Can anyone honestly say what our formation is these days? Based on the players out there it's 4-2-4 which is obviously insane. Alternatively it's 4-2-3-1. The problem there is no decent 4-2-3-1 contains four out and out strikers. Who was number 10? Reza?? Reza is a hard worker but he's only really useful at CF playing off the shoulder. He's hardly the creative dynamo we need, and given our defensive troubles he's not capable of tracking back effectively like Oscar or even Fellaini. Neither Vaz Te or Ahearne-Grant are wingers who can put in a good cross or support their full back intelligently. These are all just strikers shoved into spaces in attack in the hopes we might get a goal. Well we've scored one in our last two, and that was from an academy centre half so it's clearly not bloody working. We don't buy players for a system, we just by cheap shit on sale and this is what we get for it. Karel needs to go and so do the rest of the ownership but that's obviously not going to happen. Let's just pray we get a halfway decent manager who can use the players foisted on him effectively
  • Utter rubbish.
  • The defeat today was hardly a surprise, when you take an already struggling side and deprive it of basically a first choice midfield - Cousins, Diarra and JBG plus the long term absentee Kashi.

Combine that with a complete lack of experience at CB, and you're going to struggle. The young Rufus played alongside the likes of Chapple, Mcleary and Balmer when he started, experienced CBs who could help him use his talent. Imagine Rufus alongside novices like Sarr or Lennon...

We had loads of players out of position today, and it showed, we DESPERATELY need reinforcement, starting at the back

You gotta laugh though. I'd be concerned if Barca played with such an attacking and fluid tactic on paper.

We try it and don't have a shot on target.

Very disappointed and for the first time, my lad & I stood up to support the vocal protest during the game and the response from the CAFC support should have finally got the message home to RD & his cronies.

We are devastated by injuries and Tony Watt going to Cardiff hasn't helped, in hindsight.

6 games in we were unbeaten and I genuinely felt we had a squad good enough to challenge for the play-offs.

Today we played with the quality of a bottom three League 1 side - it was appalling football.

Big respect to JJ for what he's given to CAFC but in reality his legs are going, if not gone and he would struggle to start in a better squad. What really saddens me is that JJ has busted his balls for the Club he loves and that should have spread to the other players but hasn't done so and that is so wrong - the Club and JJ deserve better from the players - more fire and die for the shirt. Chris Solly gave it all today so well done to him.

KAG may still be too young but he brings us nothing - we might as well have had 10 players today.

We need to go back to basics, look at our fitness (or lack of it) and challenge for every ball, first and second ball - first ball we seem to compete but second ball we fall apart.

Too much to put right overnight, so unlucky with injuries - bring in an experienced Championship Manager - Ian Holloway would be better than we currently have.

Wolves weren't very good but they worked hard, pressed hard, mixed it up and fought for every ball with a much greater success on second ball.

I will go to every home game, win or lose (and will be at Colchester next week) as I love this Club and know they need our support - there was a marked improvement in our desire and tempo today after the CAFC fans finally got fired up - it does make a huge difference.

  • Not going to critisice any of the players, they all put in a shift. Tired of hearing "this player is crap, useless etc". We are in a mess, small, deficient playing squad that has been decimated by injuries, mainly to our best players. It is impossible to pass judgment on players in such a situation. I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd today. With a change of manager, 2 or 3 experienced signings and the return from injury of key players, we can get out of this. First things first, let's try to stay up, then concentrate on changing the regime.

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT VAZ TE BRINGS TO THE PARTY THAT TONY WATT DOESN'T?

Vaz Te must have a bloody good agent.

I watched him closely today and he wasn't interested. He didn't want to know. He wandered around as if he was sulking about not being chosen at CF. Pathetic. Unless it's on a plate in front of him, he ain't moving for it. When he had a chance, he sliced it wide from the penalty spot position, got up, shrugged his shoulders and wandered back to the halfway line.

    In other words...

    Well a truly Charltonised.

I just thought he looked knackered after about twenty minutes. He hasn't been able to keep running for 60 minutes since we signed him and, maybe, after playing on Saturday this was too much for him.
So we can add him to the list of 6 or 7 players who can't manage a full 90 mins or can't play 2 games in a week, etc. etc.

  • Today was my tipping point, waiting for all the told you so's Roland you are a cunt, your killing my club.
  • Chose the Greenwich panto instead of the game today.

    Oh yes I did.

We even got a mention: 'why so glum have Charlton been relegated again?'

The production was as always quality. I made the right choice.

  • We were very bad today, but I actually thought it was an improvement in our performance from the Bristol City game, which is saying something.
  • I agree that things are very bad but we must remember that Bauer, JBG, Cousins, Diarra, Kashi, Vetokele, and Ceballos if fit would if started today !
  • How bad must Franck Moussa be in training to not start in front of KAG?

How bad must Franck Moussa be in training to not start in front of KAG?

It must be a fitness/match fitness issue otherwise I really would have expected to see Moussa given some game time today.

My guess is that Moussa is not quite ready yet and was on the bench in case of emergency - otherwise it would make no sense, as you point out.

Too pissed off to worry about all this 'don't blame the youth players' crap.

KAG is basically an academy version of Simon Church. And is either very unfit/lazy. Lookman is greener to the professional game but can put in a shift, why can't Karlan?

Reza is about as useful as a sheet of paper when it comes to having contact with other players. Stop fucking diving you idiot.

I have absolutely no idea what THD has to do to get in the team ahead of Morgan Fox.

Naby Sarr is about as graceful as a wrecking ball when in possession.

Vaz Te is knackered after about 10 minutes. Get fit or fuck off.

With the exception of the 'proper Charlton' guard (Solly and Jackson in particular), the rest can leave tomorrow and I will not give one fuck.

My Dad said to me today, for the first time in 20 years of going together, that he simply cannot stomach going to the next match. It usually takes a very good reason for him to not go.

I absolutely detest this club and if we go down and rid ourselves of this poison then it will be long fucking overdue.

    Rant over.

He's been in the U21s, and must be more match fit than Ceballos who hasn't played at all since his injury? When we're playing strikers in midfield (Reza, Lookman, KAG, Vaz Te all played in midfield or out wide with our weird formation) to have a natural attacking midfielder on the bench makes no sense.

I was hoping Moussa would come on to give us more width but we were more lacking on the right flank than on the left.

When Lookman went off, he would have been a far more obvious swap. Instead KAG went from being an ineffective Centre Forward (running around to no effect) to an equally ineffective left sided attacker. I can only assume KAG played the full 90 as he has fresh legs, as he sadly offered nothing

I admire people's stance re: not digging out the players, especially given how young most of them are. When THD came on today we had a back 4 of Solly, Sarr, Lennon and THD. It's quite disgusting that the woman who bangs on about our 'academy' is essentially happy to destroy young players before their careers have started, yet have the gaul to project it as the centre piece to our ethos

Watching this today and how its unraveled under RD and KM for 2 years now, and comparing that to her bile spouted in the web summit I really have no shame in calling her a cunt.

I've tried hard to put reason into my posts and not come across as some meat head, but both her and RD are cunts.

Don't care anymore. Not interested in holding back in how I feel.

My 3 favourite words ring true into 2016, and it won't abate

    Fuck off Roland
  • Can't we offer Cardiff Vaz Te and Fox to get Tony Watt back?
Let's hope Peter Varney can raise some money and out these C---Ts.

Too vague, Cabbles. Can you get to the point?
  • Absolute dross watching players completely out of their depth

We could have had Rhoys Wiggins but we have Morgan Fox
We could have had Michael Morrison but we have Harry Lennon
We could have had Joe Gomez but we have Nabby Sarr
We could have had Yann Kermogant but we have Ricardo Vaz Te
We could have had Tony Watt but we have Simon Makienok

I look at our entire Squad and you would keep Henderson, Solly, Jackson for his leadership, JBG, Bauer, Kashi, Lookman and maybe a couple more of the kids

Where do we find 12 Championship level players in January..

All of those are good calls apart from Gomez, he was always going to leave for the kind of money Liverpool were offering.

Morrison and Kermo are by far the two most bizarre of the departures.

An experienced centre half is needed and it just might be better to buy a right back and play Solly in midfield.

We gave they're wingers far too much room today.
