  • A man like Lambert should not be too dear for a Club who should have attendances of 18,000, the problem is the miserable crackpot with the cheapo team in his network. I just voted for Killer as my favourite player, but now we are lumbered with Roland killing our Club.

BREAKING NEWS: The lucky person selected to sit on the pitch side sofa at our next home game will in fact take a seat in the dugout as we try out our latest "Manager For A Day" experience #NextAlexFerguson

no worse then what we are currently doing

Fry, I'm sure only took the job so Riga could sort out his exit at Metz. Is Riga a glutton for punishment. Hope he tells Roly where to go.

Don't worry. We will do that for him Saturday!
  • There are plenty of managers that are good and would be willing to talk to us based on offer of employment.

They would talk to us, think about it, then realise it's not for them.

I think they would take it, it's a job and most ex managers miss the buzz of the training ground etc

    And a stepping stone.

One of the main reasons the likes of Sam Allardyce, Mick McCarthy, Steve Bruce, Pardew, Steve Cotterill, Chris Hughton, Phil Brown, Simon Grayson, Nigel Adkins etc etc are constantly in employment is due to the fact that, within reason, they are prepared to take a step backwards just to keep themselves on the ladder.
  • Ours has more of a hum than a buzz tbh

If that article is right it rules out Hasslebaink, but not fecking Malkey Mackay in the job, and he has been sniffing around.
I would rather have Lee blimmin Clarke than that racist.

Or Nigel Clough? Problem is will any new manager have to speak English and two other languages?
  • Knowing our luck as a club it will probably be Paul Ince! or worse Iain Dowie!!

    Or Karel stays put!

  • Whereas before appointing Luzon, Katrien claimed to have interviewed 200 candidates in 5 minutes, this time
    a) There had been a long period since Luzon's departure
    b) Katrien has vanished completely, not a peep out of her

So maybe, they have been looking for a proper manager in secret?

No, KM has been networking at web conferences in Ireland. But astounding that such a self-publicist has gone to ground. I am 100% convinced they are keeping low until announcing the new manager a day before the Murray/Meire meeting, hoping it takes all the sting out of the fans' anger
  • Pearson ????

Have you all been hiding in a cave for the last two years??

He'd certainly wake the west stand up.

These are the key words that describe KM
  • Football is a drug.

Brown when he took the Southend job must of been on about one tenth of his wages at Hull.

In the very unlikely event of a u turn by Roland. Nigel Pearson who gave Powell his first coaching job, would have asked Chris, who would say don't touch it with a barge poll under the present owner.

If we went back to having a manager not a yes man head coach,
Nigel is old school and the Fitness at Leicester was second to none.
We need leaders on and off the pitch now.

  • Please not Jose Riga. I liked the man a lot and he did well during his time at Charlton but would be the wrong man for the job.

We need a British manager who has been in this division and got clubs out of it.

What if it was a non British manager who has been in this division and got clubs out of it ?

Getting out of this division isn't the problem, we're plunging towards L1!

You mention Brown, I wonder what the feeling would be if Steve Brown came back and worked with Euell.

I know that they are inexperienced but I think the atmosphere around The Valley would change, and in all honesty I think that they would put up with Duchatelet's nonsense.

I think things COULD be better on and off the pitch with these two at the helm.

That would leave us with three choices.

Jean Tigana, Roberto di matteo and Slavisa Jokanovic.

Only three non British managers to be promoted.
  • And that would be bad ?

  • Either way - I wonder what the objection to a foreign manager is. If anyone expects the new owner, that is whoever buys the club from RD once the protests kick in, to be British then I wonder who it might be.

The thing that bugs me is it won't just be about a new manager. I said elsewhere that someone like Ferguson could probably only stop the rot but would still struggle to get us winning.

There are so many players not up to it I feel. Personally I reckon we need 10 new players. Whoever RD brings in, whether or not they're British I can't see him having a change of heart and suddenly opening up his Wallet to bring in what's needed. So many of our team have been found wanting in recent weeks, and I don't think it's just down to the situation

I think 10 players is perhaps a bit on the severe side. I honestly believe player for player we have a first 11 that should compete for top 10 easily.

Watt, Makeinok, Vetokele, Cousins, Kashi, Solly, Henderson, Gudmundsson, Bauer, Diarra have all got decent pedigree, and are all great players when playing with confidence. Fox, Reza <3, Aherne-Grant, Jackson, can also be very solid squad players at this level. I feel we are probably missing a couple of wingers (Bulot I miss you), and a creative midfielder (we have done for many years).

I think a combination of not building a strong enough squad, and poor coaching is what has left us in this debacle. Our players just do not seem fit enough to press the ball, and when we have the ball we do not know how to move the ball forwards with pace. </p>
I appreciate 10 might seem too much but I genuinely have reservations about the following being good enough to compete

Solly - just doesn't look the player he once did. It might be down to the whole situation but he seem so slow and lethargic this season. I don't say this easily, I think had he not had that injury he would be in the prem now. At any rate we need a new RB as cover, so if you want to say he is still good enough then that's fine by me, but we def need cover there.

Fox - I actually thought he was starting to look like becoming a good player but has rapidly gone down hill very quickly. Again, is it the situation or is it his skill levels. This coupled with how poor Bergdich has looked makes me worry that both of them aren't up for it. So we look like we need one quality left back with either/or playing back up.

The centre backs. Again, you could argue that given Diarra's age, Sarr's start and the fact we play with a back 4, only having 3 isn't great in terms of numbers. Am I right in thinking Diarra is more of a central midfielder anyway. I'm not sure, all I know is we look a bit short on depth there and maybe as the season goes on we haven't got the quality.

The left wing. No natural left winger of a decent consistent standard. Harriott isn't the answer, Cousins isn't right out there and we've never looked like sorting this position for a number of seasons now.

Central Midfield. Ba isn't up to it IMO. Kashi started well but what of this injury? Jackson can't play week in week out and despite his inspirational fightback against Fulham, since he's been back hasn't really set the world alight. Yes I believe Cousins is good enough at this level, but he needs a solid partner. Kashi and Cousins is too defensive IMO. So for me, we need at least 2 more quality players here, especially someone more creative in that middle.

What of the likes of Moussa and Vetokeke? Are they ever going to be fit or good enough. Moussa's too hard to judge given he's pretty much been injured the whole time. Vetokele looked awful last season when he came back. So for me that's a total of 7 players that could come in. Admittedly not quite 10, I was probably over egging it, but certainly it is clear that a new manager alone with the squad plus 2 or 3 new additions doesn't stack up. We need strength and depth. We will get neither
  • The big news here, if there is any, could be that RD & KM have finally come to their senses and it could herald a complete change of direction. And if it has to be an English manager, why not Curbs?
