I went to a ground I have never been to. VCD is a very nice ground right in the middle of a residential area. Pitch was good although the grass was a little long. We got off to the worse possible start conceding a penalty when one of our defenders hand balled it. We didn't have many chances in the first half. We bossed it in the second and we were unlucky to just draw, Millar scored the goal. Kennedy had a couple of decent chances and Substitute Hanlan hit the inside of the post. It really is a pleasure to watch the U21s and the U18s.
I hadn't realised that the VCD ground was actually in Crayford. Any reason why we're playing there rather than somewhere like Welling?

I imagine the Welling pitch couldn't take any more games, what with Erith & Belevedere playing there. So grounds of a similar quality, a similar distance from Charlton would be places like VCD, Thamesmead Town, Dartford, Fisher, etc.

He was still hobbling very badly and wearing his protective boot after the Sheff Wed game. He's weeks away walking properly let alone playing.

Interesting that Vaz Te didn't figure, as I'd have thought he'd have needed a game to help his match fitness. Does this mean that's he's ready for first team action already... or that he isn't fit enough for U21 action!
