That’s definitely not all on him, could’ve done better with the long ball but Sane still done well from where he was and the keeper definitely should’ve done better.

Gomez misjudged the ball, Sane did execellent to get a shot away though and Karius shouldn’t be beaten at his near post like that.

He certainly hasn’t let the mistake bother him. Hopefully he will end up at Centre Back alongside Van Dijk.

I really don’t understand why Liverpool don’t spend money on a goalkeeper - the 2 they have are awful.

Agreed - he contained Sané very well and didn't let the earlier error affect him. No surprise there, given that his mental strength is one of Joe's main attributes.

From the guardian today: “ Liverpool also received approaches from Milan, Brighton and Palace for Joe Gomez in the final 24 hours of the transfer window but doubts over the Guéhi deal – well founded, as it turned out – meant they did not consider letting Gomez leave.”
