A very interesting development. I'm kind of on the fence on the timing of this. On the one hand, I think that the truth is the be all and end all and "publish and be damned". Yet on the other hand, the timing isn't great.
However, I've been more vocal than many on this subject. It was I who questioned Katrien, on this very subject at the VIP meeting. The response was that anyone making such comments "had left the club". For me, that was, never a response of any meaning. For me, it was akin to "no comment". Especially, when Mick Everitt told Katrien not to answer.
Now, the thing for me, is this.
If RD & KM are so proud of their plans/their way of doing things. If they truly believe that they are right and the rest of the football world is wrong. Then why are they covering up, what goes on, with a tissue of lies ?
Fanny, possibly among others, said that hopefully, this was all in the past and we could maybe move on.
However, I can't find the SLP interview with Bob Peeters, but he also said the same, as did Rednic at Liege and I can't believe, that the most recent coach at Liege, was sacked because of results. They were unbeaten in about 10 games, won the majority and he moved them up from 12th to 5th. His reward, sacked !
As I said at Woolwich, you can look at this two ways. Katrien's interpretation is that she speaks truth whereas none of the many people who have alluded to Roland's interference can be trusted because they are all "former employees". However, you could equally well argue that she is the only one being paid and therefore the only one with an ongoing interest in telling lies.
Someone at one of these meetings should ask her specifically what was in the email received by Chris Powell before the Sheffield United game.
Can you enlighten us about this said email AB? Have you also seen or read it?
I haven't seen it but am told that it was instructions who to play, which he chose to disregard.
The timing of the interview is highly significant but I can't see it having any effect whatsoever on the outcome of tomorrow's game.
As to RD's modus operandi, further confirmation of his approach from an impeccably credible source may cause him some embarrassment, although I certainly wouldn't assume that this is the case; on the contrary, he may well remain of the view that he was entirely justified in trying to force Thuram and Nego into the team. Like Fanny and others, I ardently hope that RD has learnt some lessons over the last twelve months and modified his approach but the deafening silence in response to supporters' concerns is not particularly encouraging.
I believe the Trust were right to publish this interview. Getting the facts on the table is always helpful and there is absolutely no harm in applying a little pressure to try and encourage some meaningful communication. It may cause some discomfiture in the short term but I suspect that it will be worth it in the end.
Time will tell if it was the correct decision by the Trust to publish the interview tomorrow in the TNT, so I won't comment on that until I've read the content anyway.
I deleted my original comment last night, where I agreed with AFKA (and still do), having not read the whole topic, but it just seems like the Trust have moved backwards from the meeting with some of their comments on here.
Judging from the notes from the meeting, the general consensus was to have a united front, with all forums, fanzines and fans working together, with the Trust being the body to try and obtain dialogue with RD and the club.
Why then could this not have been a collaboration, whereby the Trust member is question conducted the interview independently and had it printed in the VOTV instead, which is not a representative body of the fans and instead a fanzine looking to educate, entertain and hold the club to account.
Instead, if the content of the interview is quite damning against the RD ownership of the club, surely this undermines the Trust's position in trying to achieve said dialogue? And now we have people from the Trust saying they don't expect to get that dialogue anyway.
So what's the point? Topic reads as if we've gone back to square one and the meeting was for nothing.

Agreed West ...as already stated, in line with my view ...no more comment now until I get the chance to read TNT tomorrow. Let's hope I have reached the wrong conclusion.
I cannot understand why the trust are getting stick for this. The meeting did request for more dialogue with the club which I understand they are working on. If then they get an interview with CP who gives them valuable info, as a fans body it is only right they share it with the fans. Or would those who are critical would prefer this info was kept to only a few selected fans.
Up to a few weeks ago the trust was something that held very little interest to me, but they have really stepped up when required during this odd/freak time at the club.
Great interview, but just the wrong place to publish it.
If only Weegie had some links with VOTV - it would have been the perfect place to publish it without further damaging the relationship between the Club and the Trust.
Don't be surprised if KM tells you where to stick your North Stand gazeebo though.

Now you know why I enquired about the licence idea to distribute the trust news in the street outside the Valley. So much for freedom of speech then Addicted. ! Let's put it into context we have interviewed a former manager of the team. The same as the Evening standard, and the SLP. Did you not know that Heather was a board member of the trust! I had my photo in VOTV last issue ? ......Does that count.

I must have missed this, where have they 'stepped up'? Oh, they've hosted meeting & then published a potentially divisive interview with Chris Powell - the trust are effectively the political party to the VOTV - both make good points but are ultimately ineffective.
Save your £5 & stick it on a 100/1 shot, you've got a better chance of winning
It's unplayable for The Trust They can never represent all the people all the time
Basically be crawly crawly arse licky to the people who own us and they "may" be nice back but haven't been so far Or give em some embarrassment and see what happens Or try and find the middle ground which would mean ignoring the harsh facts of the interview or passing said interview on to Voice of the Valley which wouldn't get to as many fans
I have so much admiration for all these people who give so much of their free time up to do all sorts of things for the club and trust and offer their time to the club, well done and respect to you all
Roland is an obstinate old man and will be a hard nut to crack Keep trying folks
The freak show that is Charlton Athletic continues .......
Any remaining RD/KM apologists out there please answer me this:
Who do you believe to be telling the truth about Roland's interference in team selections, Katrien or the views provided by Powell/Dyer/Peeters and Rednic?
In my opinion Miere's comments at the recorded VIP meeting are grounds for a libel suit by Powell/Dyer/Peeters. I wish them every success.
I am sorry but like the interview process and the denial about Mrs Luzin's bona fide twitter acount she is just lying to us. Murray and Meire are just RD's stooges, simple as that.

The hosting of the meeting was stepping up along with the interview on the BBC. The meeting was conducted in a very professional manner (unlike the nonsense VIP meeting run by the club 24 hours later) and allowed all views to be heard.
it may not be perfect but I least fell the trust are willing to stand up and let the club know what the fans frustrations are, which is very important now that KM has stated she will only liase with the fans Forum. This is a forum which once the VIP scheme ends at the end of the season I will have no one representing me (despite being a season ticket holder for over 25 years) and who do not allow their members to say what has occurred at meetings and we all need to wait for the minutes

And if it was in a new VOTV published today there would be a queue of the usual suspects attacking me for publishing it. Nonsense argument, with echoes of the supporters' club committee when we left The Valley.

Johhny that is a very good point
The Trust incidentally were invited to talk at the VIP back in 2013 but the invite was reversed by the club under Slater.
The Trust sit on the FF and are happy to represent all CAFC fans, as I am sure are the other supporters club groups.
Are VIPs enhanced Valley Gold? Or are they just platinum club people nowadays? After all its an interest free loan so the amount you are giving may be less than Valley Gold, but helpful in bad times as a big slice of cash upfront I assume.
The club have said they don't need the VIP money, and dissolved it a mistake in my view given the culture of our club. Can we assume therefore that they also don't need Valley Gold? Logic would suggest so.
Perhaps there is room now to start thinking of a different scheme. Perhaps a Trust plus bond scheme, designed to buy shares one day but not as individuals but as a block. (Just thinking aloud before people start being daft)
Great interview, but just the wrong place to publish it.

I believe this interview is better placed in VoTV rather than the trust which is trying to gain meaningful access, this interview may put further roadblocks in place for them

Possibly. But since when has that worried you? You're not trying to get into a dialogue with RD.
So when Weegie contacted Huddersfield, did she have her Trust hat on or her VOTV hat on?
Weegie's interview was never offered to me, neither does the timing fit since it is obviously logical to focus on Powell on the day he comes back with Huddersfield, for the same reason as the SLP and the Evening Standard would not wait until a fortnight after the game to run their pieces. She can answer how she presented herself to Chris but I am 100 per cent confident it was as a board member of the Trust.
Hi Addicted...... please refer to this....... She is now a board member of the trust. http://www.castrust.org/info/meet-the-trust/ She will be down at the Valley today, ( think she might be in the museum) as I will be ..... giving out the said trust news. I will be around the North Stand....... hopefully giving out the news......then you can read the whole interview.
I am 100 per cent confident it was as a board member of the Trust.
So am I.
But the question still needs to be asked.
It was, although when we asked for the interview we didn't know quite how candid Powell was going to be. But once we had the interview we had to run it - I think the hallmarks of a strong Supporters Trust are independence (from the Club) and transparency, not running the interview once we had it jeopardises both.
Great interview, but just the wrong place to publish it.

Honestly, do you think this article will help or hinder ongoing communications with the club?
As Ken suggested, @Addickted, why don't you go and say hello to Weegie in person today and discuss your concerns, if you still insist they haven't been answered. You'll meet a person with both principles and courage who is very clear about everything she does, and explains her viewpoints vigorously within the Trust. Why don't you remind yourself of her positive interview with Katrien in August, and ask her for perspective on how things have developed at the Club since then. After all she is one of the few people who have spent a couple of hours with both Katrien and Chris in person, asking questions on behalf of the rest of us.

I thought it was agreed at the public meeting that communication with the club would be the main aim going forward, this article seems to go 100% against that.

I know Addickted, in fact I think he once described me as his perfect woman or something like that...
I'm on the Trust Board, I write silly wee articles for VOTV and I regularly post on here. We're all on the same side, aren't we?
Anyway, hope people enjoy the interview, and, yes, do say hello if you see me.
Just haven't worked out a way to get rid of your trusty sidekick
