Would this of had anything to do with us getting permission for the training ground?

Good deal, has the clubs ethics at heart, not a betting company or loan shark.

Highest climber in tables in recent years, fantastic location on the banks of the Thames with a brand new library and accommodation built by Greenwich dlr station, and only getting bigger and better

15th out of 20 in the London league table. Mid-table uni for a mid-table club. Very creative describing Greenwich as a top university.

All that aside, it's a good, community partnership for the club and another local sponsor. It would be nice to know what it's worth roughly but the days of details are long-gone with this club's communications.

Agreed. Payday loan companies sponsoring football clubs is just plain wrong in my opinion.
At least a seat of learning has some principles, although it could be argued that student's inflated tuition fees are being used to prop up a football club.
    That's capitalism for you.... ;-)

Welcome Uni of Greenwich. Good partner to have and better than a dodgy loan company or on-line betting firm in terms of "synergies" (sic)

Sounds like a contra deal but we shall see (or most likely we won't). Nothing wrong with contra deals though if they bring other benefits.

I think you're mixing us up with the Russia/Qatar World Cup bids. :-)

Fine by me if he can give me a lift back to 2001 so I can relive the Premier League years again...
