someone to the Charlton Facebook Group.
Is this classed as 'fair game' now, or as I am more of the view, the good old fashioned being a grass?

Sorry you became a YOU on a TUBE sensation, total cads for not letting you do your makeup first. But did you bring some of this on yourself by saying fans not showing passion would be more of a concern.
Your boss has Business acumen, but no football acumen. if someone comes in as coach when your 24th with just months left of the season and you finish safe then surely a 12 month contract would of been the best reward ? but no, we went for another untried boss.
How about not naming the next boss but parachuting him in, (or her) and landing on the pitch, i always like to see a new head coach hit the ground running, dressed as the stig (Top gear not CL) just before kick off, then only if we win and after the tunnel jump should the person reveal their identity.
Guy Luzon will get stick during the warm up, he will be the 1st coach in history who will need a vote of confidence before his 1st home match !
At least you know what the Charlton fans who have their 8 pints and leave at half time want, if he had ten pints he would have said make Les Reed manager again !
I would like to see you in the new Kit,Kat as women football is the biggest growing sport in the UK.

This is what KM is minuted as having said about the Luzon appointment process:
"KM began by addressing some of the concerns that may have arisen over the appointment of the new manager. She and RD will always be honest with supporters and aim to keep supporters updated which was the intention of the statement on Monday afternoon. It may have been the case that she was misinterpreted at the press conference, but no decision was taken over the identity of the new manager until Tuesday. A number of parties were spoken to including other candidates and the players. The group thanked KM for her comments".

Was that the press conference that was live on sky sports news and shown in full on CAFC Player? Or was there one we all missed?

To be fair, I'm not quite sure what people were expecting to hear.
"I addressed the fans with vague and misleading language so that they would think Roland and I had bothered to consider other candidates, also the Home Office may have got a bit annoyed about us bringing in an immigrant without looking on the door step first."
There was never going to be anything like a lot of Charlton Life wanted to hear.
At the end of the day; those who think she purposefully lied won't trust anything she says now, and those who think she was misunderstood will accept her version of events.
None of us will ever know with any certainty. I'm inclined to believe the whole thing has been a shambles; but whether they were purposeful lies is more debatable. Such a debate we've done to death.
Personally I think she lied, or at least gave the statement Roland wanted her too. I doubt she had much choice in the matter and was between a rock and a hard place. She either lost credibility and upset the fans or potentially lost her job.
I don't envy her right now, but watching the situation unravel surrounding a club I love - and waiting for it to continue unfolding - isnt very enviable either.
Onwards and upwards and hope for the best; tis all we can really do, even if it does take more effort than usual.

Exactly, regardless of the rights and wrongs, who said what on whose orders, it's been and done. Wittingly/willingly or otherwise, KM has been pretty much set up as the mouthpiece of the Belgian regime, and any executive powers she actually has are probably limited at best - the real decisions are always going to be made by dear old Roly Poly and not Katrien herself. No doubt after she's done her time at the Valley she'll be shuffled off to another branch of the network herself and another Bright Young Thing plopped into her still warm seat. There is very little point getting angry at her for what has happened, or not happened - for me she's merely symbolic, not causal.

I can't believe that no-one has yet made some very filthy comments on this theme. Standards are slipping on here chaps.
KM. Consulting players regarding appointment:- "Tal, Fred, Yoni - if we appoint Luzon will you immediately ask for a transfer or can you hang on until the end of the season when you are all out the door anyway? TBH. I think I speak for the lads when I say we don't care whether we play for the manager who doesn't want to pick us, so long as we get paid. Just don't expect us to put in a shift for him.
Well I still don't understand, on what basis Meire can claim to have not lied.
I also respect the fact that Fanny is confident she didn't.
However, it seems to me that either she lied, or RD doesn't tell her anything.
If RD tells her to start a recruitment and interview process, completing wasting her time, then I think he is a moron.
Peeters sacked on the Sunday.
Meire says we are going to start our search on Monday.
Luzon appointed Tuesday.
For me, it's along the lines of: 1) KM gets the heads up that Bob's gone/going, start looking at what else is out there, 2) she makes/gets a few calls seeing what the interest is like, who's around, 3) RD decides f*** it, Guy's available, appoints him.
So she didn't necessarily 'lie' but certainly mislead us, though perhaps due to being mislead herself. My own interpretation is that Roland always favoured Luzon but was going to at least look at other options, in the same way he seemed to have been eyeing Bob even whilst Riga was put in place. Which says a lot more for his mindset than his judgment, frankly.
Why not just be honest about it. If Luzon was thought of as stepping in peeters shoes weeks before peeters was sacked, then just say so. End of the day, the fans are the owners main source of income, don't f*ck em about.
More respect, more trust. Maybe not so much understanding and confidence, but the decision to try and pull the wool over our eyes was very naive and careless, considering the circumstances, rumours, and trail of events.
With her (presumably) small amount of contacts in the English game where else was this “Search for a new Charlton Head Coach” going to take place but the network, or was it application only before 10pm Sunday night ?
She's the youngest and for many of us the most attractive CEO in the SBC so make the most of it. I'm bringing my cheapo glasses for Rotherham as heading for stage where one losing interest in on pitch affairs.
I thought the interesting comment was that the players were spoken to.
Spoken to.... not listened to?
Good point. The Evening Standard was an example of fans spoken to as well. Fans get listened to on an as hoc basis, like on trains, maybe dialogue at all levels could be improved.

If most of us knew it would probably be Luzon, the she must have as well.
Infact she knew of the rumour, because she commented on it.
