  • The Duchatelet approach has from day one been judge me by what I do not by what I say. Equally no matter how good their English, it is still their second language so I suggest they are very wary of how things they say can be twisted and turned. As you say AB damned whatever they do.

From an infrastructure point of view it is very hard to argue their efforts have been anything but positive.

The progress of the development of Sparrows Lane will also fall into that category.

Sadly such things do not get people all "warm and fuzzy" over how you are running the club.

When you consider the actual football side of the business, from an administrative and playing perspective then the "judge me by what I do" approach does not look so clever. Far from it.

I will take an "unless and until I have walked in her shoes" assessment of her performance but at some point the perception becomes a reality. The perception is the void at the head of this business continues to grow. The "modus operandi" appears to be to react rather than act, to follow events rather than lead them. It poses the question "Are you running the business or is the business running you?"

This was the first home game of a new head coach. When you appoint a new head coach to steady the ship, it is a "clear the decks opportunity" to establish a new impetus and build a new momentum. There are things to be said, there are judgements to be shared and hopes and confidences to be expressed. We might just as well have appointed a new turnstile operator.

If you do not know what to say or how to say it or do not have any confidence in what you need to say then you are probably in the wrong job. The point being if you do not believe in and share what you are trying to do how do expect anyone else believe in it either.

Once again the chance to communicate and reassure a captive audience is missed. Perhaps we should ask for her forthcoming travel plans. Football is a "hopes and aspirational business" so while as a CEO looking at the weekly balance sheet may make you "warm and fuzzy" it does little to speak to peoples' aspirations. A few cogent words and thoughts when things have not been going well will have carried a lot of weight.

Sadly for a talented young CEO some of her decisions and perception/ understanding of the role are truly mystifying.
  • wow a Valentines Day special edition for KM perhaps?!
  • She remains a bloody liar it is now time for action before it is too late. Not a decent centre forward for over 18 months now. Why we all see it and the bloody Belgiums can't tosses the lot of them
  • VOTV was way out of date on saturday!

Yeah, apparently that Derek Ufton has retired now ....

More seriously, it was published on Jan 10th - the next one will now be on Feb 14th instead of 28th as planned.
That's the wife's Valentines pressie sorted then ;-)

Jesus Christ. What has that got to do with anything?
She's probably getting hundreds of emails a day and at 22:09 in the evening is still apparently working. Why the utter fuck does accepting a LinkedIn request turn into another excuse for bashing someone?

Notice there was no notes from her in the programme this week. I found tho strange after the last few weeks.

Damned if she does and damned if she doesn't now, although that's a problem of her (and RD's) own creation. Really the programe was pitiful in terms of attempting to manage the message, but that's because no one is managing it rather than a criticism of the remaining comms staff. It's not their job to lead the organisation.
In fairness, writing programme notes at the moment must be a soul-destroying job. How the hell can anyone try to pretend the current situation is anything other than a disaster. The one who we should feel for is whoever ghosts Luzon ...
    That bit's easy.

I'd like to welcome today's opponents. Today I hope for win - win good, lose bad. Get behind the boys.
