  • Totally agree it's more than just hand picking a squad that's why he's not doing it now?
Plenty of managers would have won league 1 with the squad we had?

The team we have now is achieving more or less as much as it's ever going to achieve. 9th flattered us last season. We do not have a Championship quality squad. We are one of the teams in the league with the least amount if investment, where do you think we should be finishing? A relegation scrap is inevitable with a squad like this.

This time last season we were in a similar position to what we are now, we were battling to stay up. Our great run towards the end was what kept us up and propelled us into the top 10.

People need to get real, we are a lower echelon Championship side. Drop your delusions of grandeur and come into the real world. We are a bottom half/relegation threatened team. This Is what we were before we started the season, this is what we were last season, and it's what we are now. Only significant investment and an end to the off field woes is going to change that.
  • I just hopes when Hamer is fit, he plays him. If RD doesn't like it, I can't see him sacking CP until the end of season given our precarious state.
  • I had convinced myself, on no evidence, just a gut feeling, that Powell would be gone during the close season. However, having read the SL press interview and assuming that he is a tenacious man who would like to see a job completed, I now 'guess' that if we avoid relegation, Powell will recognise that the reshaping of the club is a fait accompli and will stay with CAFC and work with whatever playing staff is in situ for next season. This is providing of course that the new boss chooses to retain him.
