Still cant understand why slater would not be at the valley offical do but rock up to east kent talkabout a takeover then vanish and all those there know nowt.. Is he a man in black did he pop his shades on and nuralyse you all after his speach? Gut instinct says its all cock and bull and finding the whole thing amusing i think i live in east kent but think i will give the stonecutters a swerve "who keeps the takeover underwraps...we do". ;-)
Don't you know? Publish your address and we'll advise further ;-)
Mog I agree with the fact the EK guys and gals should be the ones answering
But the trust co organised it printed the posters and then posted the tit bit on their website then linked it here
To now say oh well I don't really know like mavis in the cabin is a bit odd tbh
But I suppose like many things we will never know what happened that night so in ten years hopefully the official secrets act will pass and we will find out then
The trust did not print it as well..... but I designed the 'flyer'/poster. I did not go, so cannot add anything that has not already been posted.
It's actually becoming amusing and frustrating in equal measure. In my view it was either not said and therefore no one can add anything or if it was said as reported then I have no idea why there should not have been some supplementary questions and answers which should also have found there way onto here or it is indeed true that the code of omertà is prevailing.
Maybe those running the event, that were clearly struggling to sell all the tickets, feel as though if you want to know what goes on at these events then perhaps you should attend.
Or maybe it never happened at all. I do find it very strange that Slater (who is something of a recluse) would attend this meeting, and then 'steal the thunder' of the players that were playing in December 1992 when we were celebrating getting back to the Valley.
Either way I have to confess that, due to my complete lack of trust of anything that he says, I'm not exactly bothered if it did happen and no one tells us about it!
The Chislehurst supporters meeting was certainly interesting last night, what a great guest Tony Jiminez was.
Just want to thank the trust for publising this for us.
Roll on January when we'll have Lord Lucan talking about his days as physio down at the Valley and March when Kevin Cash will be talking about where it all went wrong.

Vera said, to her friend Blanche Have you heard of the North Kent Supporters Branch Blanche said no, I don't think so But I've heard of the East Kent Trust Aggro
"Known as the hemorrhoid of Kent, East Kent is renowned for its oysters, sandy beaches, 70s fairgrounds, majestic buildings, flatulence, lady boys, dogging sites and an ignorance of anything to do with complicated takeover talks. It has an uncomfortably high population of in-bred two headed mutants who while away the hours taking creatine whilst fixing boats".

Seriously though, aren't things of any sensitivity normally kept in-house at these kind of meetings and not posted all over the internet.
Did anyone ask him what his favourite Christmas film was btw?

1st season/year - consolidate and let all contracts run out
2nd year/season - sign new squad, let them bed in (remember the players signed are signed with the view to being able to compete in the championship)
3rd year/season - promotion from league one
4th year/season - consolidate and let contracts run out
5th year/season - sign new team for premiership push
It does work in regard to all of the quotes from the club/Powell that we went up a season early
