  • Palace are just a much more dis-likable club compared to Charlton, which is why Millwall hate them more than us.

I have a lot of family who support Millwall. We have banter about Charlton/Millwall all the time, but its always friendly. However, they cannot stand Palace!
  • Sparrow's says we are 3rd in the pecking order.

Last time they sold out against palace?

Seems as if they millwall fans on here providing us with info know nothing.
  • I'm really struggling to cope Sparrows - we're only third on your radar? i'm absolutely devastated. Your crowds against us compared to your crowds against Palace suggests otherwise. Our away support at your place compared to palaces support at your place and their supporta t our place also suggests otherwise. The more you and palace protest, the less convincing it is and frankly, the more pathetic it is.

Seems like you're the one protesting too much.

So because our game during our promotion season was a sell out that means you are our number 1 rival and we hate you more than anyone else? Believe that if it makes you feel better.
  • Sparrows is correct. I'm with him, I also fail to see why people on here can't understand.

If we're talking about Millwall's biggest rivals who they hate the most etc, then we are not on their radar. They don't hate us. Most of them quite like us.

They hate W Ham & then Palace (like we hate them). Plus they hate Leeds, Cardiff, Brum, Forest etc.

    But they don't hate us.

Yes, they want to beat us, we are their local opposition & yes they get a decent turnout (a lot of who are Charlton, not just in the away end).

But they don't hate us. If they hated us, we would get absolutely hammered (off the pitch) but we never have done in my lifetime.

It's surely not that hard to understand is it ?

so do they hate us or not?

~wink smile thing to indicate that i'm kidding~

  • Hurry up and answer the question Sparra ! I have suspended my whole life until I get the answer to this deep rooted and life affirming question... -wink smiley thing a la dave123
  • first the Bermondsey Pickeys said we wouldnt sell the whole end out then when we do it emptied far to early -------FFS what total bollox---we were kept intill almost 6PM.

The fact it was there highest gate since Harry Crips was a boy says it all

Or maybe Neil Harris in the Evening Gooner who said "this is the big one our fans have been giving us grief WECANT LOOse to Charlton"

Most of them quite like us.

Well "most of them" have got a very funny way of showing it then. I quite like my next door neighbour - I do not demonstrate this by forcing my way into his back garden and then spending the afternoon behaving like an utter c**t and intimidating his kids.

Could not care less if they rank us at number 92 on their list of rivals, I hate 'em and I'll find it hugely entertaining if we can avenge the 4-0 shambles when we play them this season.

Not all were kept in. Those who left very early were able to walk out down Zampa Road and quite a few left the stands & I presume stood outside when they found the gates shut.

No big deal, I wouldn't have stuck around either.

i have to agree with Sparrows Lane Lion on this topic,my Millwall mates i work with says we dont give it large compared to WHU and Palarse, and when we lost at the den our end emptied far to early and i had to go through lots of crap at work for that.Did anyone notice the hut selling millwall shirts by the bridge near there cafe cos there was T shirts for sale with we hate palarse and we hate the hammers but nothing about us Charlton boys.

i've no doubt they don't hate us as much as palace as we are not so utterly annoying but i still think that a Millwall / Charlton game means a lot more than a Millwall / Palace game to them due to the far closer proximity and location of the majority of the support bases.

    Leave it out

These are grey clubs with no history and no class.
Hope you're not refering to the club that pioneered professional football in the south, football in the community, woman's football and the only club to have been unbeaten at home for a whole season in 4 different divisions, the most successful FA Cup side never to have won it or the only south London club to have played in a proper European fixture and the official record holders of most ticket sales for a game at both the old and new Wembley's?

Unbeaten at home for a whole season in four different divisions? I take it you are including your very brief time in the top flight for 2 seasons in 1988/89,1989/90? If that is the case I think you are talking out of your arse.
  • most of them like us ? do f++k off.
Enough people on here have been the victims of their type of banter.
Try being nice and cuddley before there was segregation.
There are ten times as many stories of their c++tishness to CAFC fans ---stabbings--late night knocks on doors etc, than there are "i have a Millwall mate and he is all right"

    ARE THEY F++K.

Do they hate us ? i dont give a rats arse i hate em -because they are total c+nts

To be fair we are the bastions of equality; we hate everyone (to varying degrees)

Yes of course they are trouble, we all know that. But the point I was trying to make unsuccessfully, was that they don't hate us like W Ham or Palace.

I don't recall them attacking our pubs & fans more than others.

Blimey Hull, Luton et all have had it worse than us.

By that argument Liverpool/Everton means more than Liverpool/United, which isn't the case.

    Or West Ham/Orient, Chelsea/Fulham, etc.
  • Millwall don't need a team to hate for a good punch up. Sparrows might correct me but on thier last visit to Selhurst rival factions of Millwall fought over who'd been shagging someones sister!.

    Family dispute then?

Bermondsey - notoriously incestuous, paranoid of outsiders, small minded and prone to violence. As they've migrated out into the real world they've got 'better' but still a long way to go.

Sorry but I agree with this. I no TONES of millwall, and once all the bragging rights and general banter is over it always ends with 'nah we quite like you' gotta remember fair enough were local rivals but were SO close that these are work colleagues and school friends we're talking about. *edit*. (not saying there isn't a whole load of twats to)

You've just described a typical Englishman apart from the incestuous bit.

Righto sparrows, i'll have to bow to your clearly greater intelligence regarding fan likes and dislikes. Do you get out much?
  • I dislike Piers Morgan, I care not that he has no opinion of me.

    Same argument for Palace.
