A question on palace and millwall.

edited September 2012 in General Charlton
I know there's a lot of hatred directed at these two ( for obvious reasons ) But I was just wondering if people would really like to see them go down. Or does the joy of getting to play them outweigh that. I no id much rather play them than see them relegated.

  • I would pay to see them relegated and in millwalls case never play them again. In fact if someone were to burn sell hurst to the ground it would be a good thing
  • nah a bit of (friendly) rivalry is a bit of fun. I do Palace are going to go down though
  • Both scum millwall a touch more. Down down down
  • Would love to see them both go down.

I hate millwall more than I do palace but I would prefer palace to go down if that makes any sense.

I like playing millwall as the bird and her family are millwall. After that 4-0 game they really f*cked me off. This team will put up more of a fight so im hoping to rub their boat in it
  • Down down deeper and down.

Batter the f*ckers this season send them both down in the process.

See them again in 10 years time when they manage to make the FA Cup 3rd round
  • I think Palace are well overdue a stint in the lower leagues.

I quite like both of them both being in the same league as us as it makes things more interesting. Friday week is going to be an epic atmosphere.Just hope we don't lose. Can't wait for the Millwall matches as well. COYR
  • Think it won't happen as bought well Friday and I am already nervous about Friday week.

  • I would like to see both clubs go out of business and have to start again.
  • Id happily see them both relegated but id rather play Palace again next season then Millwall.
  • Wouldnt care if we never had to play either ever again

However i would not want either club to go out of business

I dispise their fans but they are community based and as such do bring something back to young people in the area and businesses

  • Not sure about relegation or playing them in the same division. But I would like Palarse to sell their ground or whatever and have to ground share with us (at an exorbitant rent). What a scenario. (A bit off thread, sorry)!
  • Tale of the tape is dreadful against them. If they go down we'll miss the dream of rectifying it
by doing a few doubles. Badly expressed but I hope you understand.
  • I dont really care what Millwall do but i would have a street party if the nigels went down.
  • Don't really care how they do. It's all about how we do with me. Having said that, come to think of it, I don't like it if either of them win so perhaps I do care what they do.
  • Palace to me are irrevelent (being an older supporter) don't even figure on my radar, well, their awful kit might do, Millwall however, I loathe, I would quite happily see them go out of business, wouldn't bother me in the slightest, in fact, I would dance merrily on the clubs grave, right, where's my horlicks.
  • I'd rather we played them year in year out, so we can prove without doubt who's No.1

  • I really could watch that video all day long , just brought a smile to my face
  • Forgot how much i enjoyed that sunny day in se7

Sent the home crying to their mummys

Pmsfl i can suffer all the shite we have put up with for how good that felt that day
  • Would love to laugh at them being relegated but I would also enjoy humiliating both of them each year on the pitch
  • Tough one - I would prefer it if we were in a higher division than both of them and hated being in a lower one. But you can't deny there is a great atmosphere when we do play each other. I guess it's acceptable to be in the same division as long as we beat them and finish higher than them.
  • Honestly ( apologies to my two lads re inheritance etc) if I had the money I would seriously love to buy Millwall and then promptly close them down.
  • Easy.

I dont mind Millwall - loads of wall mates, all come from our areas, mainly pumped up idiots that think cos they are wall they're hard - but they are our naughty little brother as far as i am concerned.

Them other mugs can fold and go out of business and i would laugh - Weird fans, crap club, cant stand em and never have.
  • Would rather play you every year so we can get at le

The latter rarely happens against us though does it. Going to take many years to turn our head to head record around.

Knowing we're the smaller club it doesn't particularly bother me to see you, west ham or palace above us, as that's generally been the case as I've grown up (less so yourselves), but it does give me pleasure to see your frustration (& Palace's) when little Millwall finish above you or do well.

For some reason, when we call them this, it really grinds my gears

So your mates you think are pumped up idiots who think they are hard? You need new mates!
