We havent played any sh*t teams yet in this division. One win one loss two draws. Pulled back to make 2-1 out of what could have been a humiliating tonking. Not too downhearted. Our support sounded mighty.
Not there but sounded horrendous. Central midfield needs quality adding PDQ. Our weak area and should have been addressed. fuller cameo sounds promising.
Look nervous on the ball Felt there was a lack of leadership and desire we could win until Fuller came on Over ran in midfield first half, second half we had a better shape but couldn't link from midfield to strikers Cort played well Jackson has made a poor start to the season, gave ball away and was absent first half. Played better in the centre after half time Lack of creativity Forest were excellent, especially in the first half Poor performance all round
I thought the substitutions made a big difference, our midfield in the firdt half were completely outplayed and probably outclassed, however the starting midfield were all free transfers and I do feel that this maybe a division to high for JJ I am afraid. Fuller fanastic.
We were poor in the first half and didn't get the ball down at all. Second half we perked up but Pritch was chasing shadows and left too much for Hollands to do in the middle. Cook is not a player who fits into a flat 4 midfield and it showed. We were much better in the second and Fuller and Kerkar looked good. Could have nicked a draw at the end but on the balance of play a 2-1 loss was probably fair. Forest are a team who can bring off Simon Cox and replace him with Billy Sharp. Anyone who thinks there's any shame or embarrassment in today's performance needs to re-evaluate where we stand in the world of football. Or support Man Utd
If Chris Powell has one blind spot it's when to use his subs. Blatantly clear from early on that the starting team wasn't at the races and he should have changed things miles earlier. Who knows what might have happened if Fuller and Kerkar had come on after an hour instead of with just 15 or so minutes to go.
Disappointing result but not the end of the world.
Completely off the pace in the first half. Encouraging display in the second, especially the impact of Fuller. Probably the right result against a team (and I never say things like this) who will be there or thereabouts in May.
Nice to see the standard of refereeing has improved since promotion. How that wasn't a foul in the build up to their second I don't know.
Hope the gaffer learns to switch things around a little sooner. Shocked at some of the panic on the match thread, thank goodness our team has more spine than some of our "support". Never been the biggest Jacko fan, but some of the things said on the match thread are cringeworthy, he's an honest player, good captain and gets amongst the goals.
We looked poor until Fuller and Kerkar came on then we actually looked dangerous. Fuller looked a class above on that cameo. Kerkar I think has given CP some thinking which is good news.
We don't have much pace in midfield which is why we didn't create any chances until the last 10 minutes, JJ was okay but his lack of pace at this level is for all to see. I think we'll bring a CM in on loan when the window opens.
Personally think we have to work in getting Wiggins and Solly into the game more going forward, they cause all sorts of problems last year. Forest were the better side, had more quality than us and it was pretty comfortable for them apart from the last 10 minutes.
Very poor today with virtually everyone below par, with Morrison perhaps the best of the starting 11. Midfield was dire, where Cook and Pritchard were especially poor and Jacko not much better. I was surprised that Hollands was substituted as he was better than the others, although that isn't saying much. Good cameo from Fuller in the last 10 minutes, scoring one (unless it was credited to a Camp own goal) and almost setting up Kerkar for another. Overall, passing and movement off the ball was shockingly bad with far too many hopeful punts up for Kermo to try to flick on to non-existent support. Dare I say that we missed Dale Stephens in this respect.
Yes, Forest looked good but we made it easy for them. So far we have played Brum, Leicester, Hull and now Forest and it might be said that they are all leading sides in this division. I hope so, because we look a little lacking in quality if not spirit in this level of company.
Early days still, and I'm sure we'll bounce back. But SCP has got real work to do, especially in the midfield area, to get us up to speed.
Comfy in this division: Hamer Solly Wiggins Morrison Hollands Pritchard Stevens Kermorgant BWP Fuller
Jury still out on these: Kerker JJ (sorry but it has to be said!) Cort Haynes (To be fair he had a cameo but did very little today)
worried about him: Cook
I wouldn't worry about Cook. He's a striker/winger, not a wide midfielder. Frankly Powelly shouldn't have put him in the position where he would be required to track back and sit more. I imagine he was only moved into the starting 11 as of yesterday so he likely didn't have much time if any to train in that role. Does make me wonder where Green was
Watched on a stream. Predicted 2-1 to Forest, not surprised. We know we're going to lose more games than last season and top 6 or so sides are going to be very tough games, no need to overreact (as some were during the game).
Not down to a lack of effort, they just had more quality. They were more comfortable on the ball with better movement. As we know our midfield is our weakest area and that was really highlighted today.
Fuller very promising. Still very early but should be very dangerous at this level. If he turns out to be better than BWP or Yann and one of them is dropped then so be it. All part of the team evolving.
Be interesting to see how our line up and formation develops over the season. Can see us using 4-5-1/4-3-3 in games like this.
Forest are clearly a very good team. Too many had off days, Pritch, Wiggins and Jackson in particular. Much better second half, pressed and harried and gave them less time on the ball. Fuller and Kerkar made a huge difference. We know all about Fuller already but Kerkar could turn into a real find. Has a real presense and confidence on the ball, I like the look of him.

Seems from the reports that Fuller and to a lesser extent Kerkar were a class above anyone else on our side . I suspect that shows how far away most of our players are from Premiership quality -which is hardly surprising as they were all div three journeymen last season. Although oddly,if things had gone diffferently yesterday two of them could have been playing in the Prem this weekend, of course!
Perhaps we need to find a couple more like Fuller with a top flight pedigree when the prem squads of 25 are finalised, and take them on loan.
Beginning to think it will be a tough season, although I still think we're too well organised and have an inspirational manager, factors which will keep us well clear of relegation worries.
A shame we appear to have no money again. I think it would have only taken three or four more signings of Fuller's quality to take us to the edge of the play-offs.
I'm going to bed before fruitloops like mascot88 depress me even more.
I'm not normally considered a negative ...
That first half was dire though as everyone has pointed out ... Fuller was a massive positive, and Kerkar looked good, poor old cook looked terrible if you ask me... But soon, hopefully, we will get to play some lesser teams who have spent less and has less high quality players than these ...
Forest I thought were excellent particularly in the first half , there movement and passing and overal ability just made our midfield look at times poor...

All I want to say is, I wasnt sure how good an idea Fuller would be, and within 30 seconds I was convinced.
As for the rest, chill out people, thats a very good Forest team there, and we've had a tricky week

Cort played well

Poor performance all round
I always like Reid and I thought he was the best player on the pitch today.

Our goal was an OG even if Fuller tries to claim it.
Good to see Haynes and Fuller play. More options.
No doubt this thread will be much bigger than usual as we lost so going to have a drink and ignore it.
