Could easily go down if they get off to a bad start?
Ipswich will be a lot lower down than predicted
Don't forget they went back to back promotions to get to the prem and they have lost their main goal threat.
This is, in effect, year 3 of a 5 year plan they probably had in mind when they got promoted up to the ChampionshipIpswich’s recruitment last year was clearly with one eye on this season and being able to go straight back up. I think them and Southampton will be right up there, Leicester is tougher to call because they are a mess off the field and might have a points deduction, but they easily have enough time to sort themselves out and end up in the top 6. Burnley were a mess this time last year and still got sorted out and promoted0 -

Ipswich are a well run club who will keep the bulk of their squad together and add a few, they will do well and I expect will be promoted.
Southampton have a good squad by Championship standards but have just come out of a very demoralising season. I expect them to do well and get top 6 but if they start poorly then their confidence could drain so who knows.
Leicester are a mess and their owners have made a number of poor decisions and seem to be having cash flow issues. I could see them stumbling.4 -

I asked chat gtp to predict where we finish and the answer was between 16-20. I asked the same question stating that we just signed Kaminski and we are now predicted to finish between 15-17 with 16th being the most likely outcome0

The Championship is a notorious money pit, and teams with small budgets most likely to be relegated. It can be done. You need a good scouting network, make good use of the loan system and look for some bargains on the continent.1 - Sponsored links:

I'm feeling slightly more positive about staying in the Championship.
Leicester have risk of x2 points deductions plus financial issues
Sheff Weds in free fall- no salaries paid for 2 nd month means players can leave
Derby have problems too

A 16th / 17th place finish with little drama will do nicely.5

Some of these figures are crazy. How long before West Brom are in trouble if they don't cut those losses?
Stoke's owners are loaded but that's a crazy amount to lose to just be treading water in the bottom half of the table.
Note: Operating losses do not include money made from buying and selling players, so the bottom 3 heavily reduced losses by selling players.

Expectations growing with each signing.

It is difficult for me to expect anything from Charlton other than a weekly battle for survival. I do not know the Championship well enough. Do expect us to stay up though ultimately.
There have been enough cases in recent years of teams that have become stable Championship clubs with a few that have even managed to advance. Also teams whi relgated straight away but would be very surprised if that would apply to us. Because we have the advantage that we have a stable defense with over 20 clean sheets and that we have even managed to improve our gk. Also our team remains largely intact. With a few quality additions we might even have a very good team with lots of potential.
And several clubs have financial problems such as Hull and Sheffield and there are many more with large weekly losses.1 -
2 weeks ago it was just survival but with another couple of decent signings I might have a bet on us being in the playoffs3
-
People are going to have a long-season of anger if people are genuinely at all annoyed/surprised that people are going to predict the team who came up through the League One playoffs as one of the most likely teams to go down4
-
Im starting to feel quietly confident, with the seemingly quality signings we are making & it seems more to come, then I do think we will be in the mix for mid table in our 1st season back…looking up rather than down…👍
