Pritchard is no winger and I think Wagstaff or Harriott should start on the wing and thought Powell should give Hughes and Hayes a chance to be honest! on the evidence of this performance we won't stay top for long because time and time again we fail to break down sides like Tranmere and Rochdale who are fighting for relegation!
"Sheffield united will smell blood now however." Yeah. The biggest gap between 1st and 2nd in the other leagues is 2 points. We've got a 7 point lead. We haven't lost this year. And our "fans" boo.
Boo ? Tossers to boo. However, manager has to answer for this. Poor choice, and no inspiration at HT. Hope the Di Canio rumours are only rumours though !!!
Powell got it soooooo wrong tonight. We had no balance and no width at all. After 10mins you could see it wasn't working. If an early change wasn't on the cards then it had to be changed at half-time.
Absolute madness playing Wiggins at right back. You loose so much from the left hand side. If you are looking for a player to sit and have a steady game at full back then surely Hughes needs to come in. I'd have played Morrison there before what we saw tonight. When you add the fact that Evina had an absolute shocker into the equation it doesn't help matters.
The subs were all wrong as well. How long did Green get on the right? He actually did ok on the left and was looking lively on teh right. Pritchard was the obvious switch - Wagstaff was utterly hopeless. It took him exactly 3 minutes to start moaning and another 5 to start diving. He offered nothing.
The substitution of Wright-Phillips was unbelievable. He looked sharp all night. Most of those there tonight witnessed the Clarke and Yann experiment against Bury and unanimously agreed that it was a disaster. Clarke is not mobile and struggles to hold the ball up. Really can't see what he brings to the table at all.
Rochdale looked dangerous on the break allnight. Their goal was a farce with Evina and Stephens being equally culpable.
Have to say that I'm not sure about the Stephens and Hollands partnership either. Hollands looks 10 times the player alongside Hughes and for me, Dale goes missing for too long in these sorts of games.
Only real positive for me - Yann. Absolutely immense.
Hopefully we put this one to bed and come up with a big performance on Saturday.
Stevenage up next. Another performance like that and come sunday we could find Utd four points behind with a game in hand. Squeaky bum time and I don't care who says its not.

Swapping Wiggins to the right didn't work, but SCP sees Evina and Hughes in training and we don't so I'll go with his judgement not one made with the benefit of hindsight. Thought best performance I've seen by an opposition player this season came from their number 5 Amankwaah. The came to play football and deserved their point and didn't make any attempts at time wasting. I cannot believe they are a bottom 4 side
Didn't Boo just went home. worst thing is I turned up expecting what I got disappointed. We have been putting on some poor performances for a while. Problem is now results are matching the performance. With two games in next 7 days I fear the worst. Neither are going to easier than tonight and we made Rochadle look very good. Agree with the square pegs, and round holes and sorry but Pritchard had a mare !
CP early start in the morning the problem you have failed to resolve is still there. Sort it out, before the rot really does set in.

Seem to think you were 14 points in front of us P.A but if we beat the pigs & our game in hand on yous the gap will be 4 points but we've got to win our games, not having a go mate but if you ask me top spot is still up for grabs although i'll take 2nd place now, anyway heres hoping we both go up 1st or 2nd.

Kermorgant and Clarke definitely didn't work against Bury, why try it again tonight?? Not sure quite what Clarke offers, and why has Hayes been frozen out for so long now?
No surprises from Rochdale tonight. Limited but fought for everything. We gave them acres to play into until last qtr of the game, and sadly tonight proved that pro footballers can't all "do a job" out of position. Crap performance or not, booing does my swede in!!!

could you guys not come up with original nicknames for each other? rather than 'pigs'.

Like most of us I'll be happy if you come up with us, but I think you were wise to say "if" about your Sunday game. You know the Massive are wounded, and under huge pressure not to lose this one. Big derbies like that are totally unpredictable.
Can't add anything to what already's been said by a number of people. A very bad day at the office by CP. Wrong players in the wrong positions etc etc etc. on the positive side, another point clear of 3rd place and still unbeaten at home. Onwards and upwards.
Im embarrassed to post it, but I will. Was told today that Jiminez has a £30m windfall coming from a golf complex in the south of France and the club have been in talks with Di Canio promising him a war chest. Sounds like crap to me, and it's a ridiculous notion. The source is pretty reliable. My view is that if this happened they wouldn't get any more money from me. I have posted this because I heard it, NOT MY RUMOUR.....
powelly got it wrong the team selection was wrong and it obviously showed tonight, but powelly deep down will know that so hopefully he will put it right on saturday, lets remember we are still top and powelly is still cutting his teeth in management.

I hate to say I was right but after 5 mins turned to NLA and BOOGICA and said if we aint got another right back at this club its shockin. Bourne was across the aisle and I put my cards on the table and said I really don't think Evina is very good. This was prior to the beginning of his nightmare.I have only seen him against Brentford in tinpot, Halifax and Carlisle in cup, but his hasn't impressed in any. People are getting nervous and unfortunately this will happen due to the past when we have slid from Feb onwards. BWP should not have been substituted, we should have gone 3 at the back and brought on Hayes not Clarke who really is poor.
Hmmm, not sure what to say as i feel like i'm saying the same thing week in week out now.
The first few months of the season we effectively played with freedom, no pressure and a fully fit squad. Having held the lead for so long, we are there to be shot at. Other teams will be intent on stopping us, and raise their game against us. Its a compliment, but if you want to be champions, you have to deal with it.
Currently we are not coping particularly well. We've lost that fluidity that pressure sometimes brings, and the anxiety throughout the team is being compounded by the 'striker goals' issue. We're becoming increasingly one dimensional through Yann's head (can't really fault the guy though), and just not building possession, or more noticeably, breaking with intent, in the same way we were a few months ago.
Standard stuff with football now is a bad performance is the managers fault for everything. I see it differently, and seeing Powell's job as much a psychological and motivational job ahead now, rather than a tactical one. Players that were putting in 8s a couple of months ago and now doing 6s.
We need to find that mojo and spark again, otherwise it is going to be too comfortable to set up against and frustrating for the crowd. All adding to the anxiety.
I've said it consistently throughout; we have a good side that is organised, a great team ethic and better than most in this league. But it is not outstanding and won't get away with things when below par. We've come away from the high standards we set ourselves in the first half of the league, been backed up with some good fortune since, and now that well of breaks appears to be drying up.
We need to kick on again. We're certainly capable of it, but it needs some oomph. I actually think it could come against a decent Stevenage side, though the team imbalance through a couple of injuries is a bit of a concern.
And one minor thing about the so called booing. You are looking about 20-30 youngsters. A couple of thousand people noticeably clapped the team off despite a frustrating night. Keep it in perspective, and don't give a couple of dozen kids the column inches that isn't deserved.

Need to sort out that midfielf four as its not working, Wiggins at rb, shocking
I just hope he doesn't replicate his form last spring
Normal back 4 on Saturday please, Pritchard out, Green out Stephens dare I say it a maybe and I love the fella but he gives it away too much
Would have taken 4 points but didn't expect them this way
Tough game on Saturday despite what the numpties who expect us to roll every team over think
