  • Chris Powell and the team should be really up for this match. He should tell the team to go out and enjoy this match and play to the best of their ability. Because although it is highly unlikely, it is possible that both teams could be playing each other in the same division next season. This is a chance to match ourselves against a top Championship/poor Premiership team.
no way will Fulham get relegated. Agree with the rest though.
  • Anything else we can help you with Mike?
is there away support really any worse than ours was in their position in the prem?

You'll have to ask Ohh Ahh, I've polished your grammar for you though.
  • Yes, I know everybody says we need to focus on this year but thinking about this game it will be a useful way of seeing how this team might fare against a higher calibre of opposition which could be useful info for next season.

    No need for that.

Have you only just started supporting us Mike or are you on a wind up?
  • People keep posting answers like that, but I'm yet to see any evidence that our numbers are a lot better than theres. I have no idea about their support, inform me.
  • Can't see what it matters whose support is best!
  • it dosen't really. some guy posted that their support was very poor, I asked why. Clearly he had no idea, so I got a load of sarcy responses instead.

Here you go Bingaddick said :-

We have been a big club in the past. 75,000 crowds, 40,000 average
crowds etc. The disastrous 1960's and 1970's coupled with the move to
Sellout Park didn't help our fan base.

Being out of the top flight for almost 30 years made a huge impact on our fan base.

    Being
back at the Valley and the most recent Premiership years gave the club
the opportunity to re-connect with lapsed fans (Valley Express) and to
    re-build from that disastrous time.

If you compare our gates now to what they were when we were last in tier three, we have come along way.

Wednesday has been a yo-yo club but has benefited from less years in the doldrums than us.

  • There is always a bigger fish or three so it seems a futile exercise to look for a smaller one and try to lord it over them. The only exception to this being a direct rival such as Palarse or the Sapnners, who fortunately we are much bigger than.
  • thanks mate. although i was only wondering if their actual numbers were similar to ours or not. I know they have a few joke followings but we did in the prem too.

I think they took more to palace in the prem than we did, probably similar numbers away if not lower.
  • As I said on another thread I don't expect them to have as many fans as us on the day.

As I said on another thread I don't expect you to be correct. 99% sure the overall attendance will be more than 14,000.

What you saying then Beds the crowd will be lower than 14,000??
I really wouldnt be surprised .
  • there expecting 16,000 with a few in their ends i think beds is near right, tiny club who amazed me making a european cup final
  • don't know why we have to diss other clubs support. Fulham are a great little Club with a proud history and decent supporters. Yes their away support is poor but who cares. I don't understand what the fascination is with other clubs attendances/support. It is what it is for various reasons.

  • Regardless of how many they have, we'll be making all the noise.

    7k singing VFR, love it!

  • only if they opted to include at the start of the season, so doubt there is much take up on that
  • The comment on the Fulham site saying "most of the good seats are being snapped up" made me laugh, probably being bought by Charlton fans.
