Chris Powell and the team should be really up for this match. He should tell the team to go out and enjoy this match and play to the best of their ability. Because although it is highly unlikely, it is possible that both teams could be playing each other in the same division next season. This is a chance to match ourselves against a top Championship/poor Premiership team.
no way will Fulham get relegated. Agree with the rest though.
Yes, I know everybody says we need to focus on this year but thinking about this game it will be a useful way of seeing how this team might fare against a higher calibre of opposition which could be useful info for next season.
People keep posting answers like that, but I'm yet to see any evidence that our numbers are a lot better than theres. I have no idea about their support, inform me.
Well I tried to enlighten you above about their fanbase but you don't seem to have responded to that and now you are concerning yourself with their away following HMMM?
We have been a big club in the past. 75,000 crowds, 40,000 average crowds etc. The disastrous 1960's and 1970's coupled with the move to Sellout Park didn't help our fan base.
Being out of the top flight for almost 30 years made a huge impact on our fan base.
Being back at the Valley and the most recent Premiership years gave the club the opportunity to re-connect with lapsed fans (Valley Express) and to re-build from that disastrous time.
If you compare our gates now to what they were when we were last in tier three, we have come along way.
Wednesday has been a yo-yo club but has benefited from less years in the doldrums than us.
There is always a bigger fish or three so it seems a futile exercise to look for a smaller one and try to lord it over them. The only exception to this being a direct rival such as Palarse or the Sapnners, who fortunately we are much bigger than.
thanks mate. although i was only wondering if their actual numbers were similar to ours or not. I know they have a few joke followings but we did in the prem too.

I think they took more to palace in the prem than we did, probably similar numbers away if not lower.
don't know why we have to diss other clubs support. Fulham are a great little Club with a proud history and decent supporters. Yes their away support is poor but who cares. I don't understand what the fascination is with other clubs attendances/support. It is what it is for various reasons.

As I said on another thread I don't expect you to be correct. 99% sure the overall attendance will be more than 14,000.

They'll have more fans than us then :-)

lots of fulham fans stating embarrassment etc on the forums also sayng "outsung by family club Charlton - could it get any worse?!"
Regardless of how many they have, we'll be making all the noise.
