What technology is used to prevent the cockney pigeons n sparrers from shitting upon it ? or even from alighting upon it ?
  • But seriously, I think Jol will put out a strong side and as Fulham are showing this season, they are a side to be reckoned with, not the old softies of old but a team with a hard edge and no little skill. I suspect we'll take a bashing but it will be for the long term good of the Charlton players to experience a game against a very good side which is not of the very highest level. I hope I'm wrong and that we get a result and draw Man U away in the next round
  • What is the betting that at some time on Saturday a red and white scarf is drapped around its neck
  • Think the adrenaline will keep us level till half time ala spurs away...then who knows.

They don't have a Modric to bring on!

    Patronised by Fulham?

They are a joke of a club, they are only there because of Al Fayed’s multi-millions and once he goes then they will go too, probably the same fate awaits them as does Blackburn.

What are the chances Fulham would be getting 17,000 in League One? None at all.

We have done it the hard way, rebuilt our club from the bottom up and unearthed a new generation of fans who will stick by the club, Fulham have done no such thing are once their Premiership days are over their ‘Premiership’ fans will disappear.

  • Been in the 'neutral end' before, it full of loads of Americans seeing Dempsey and then McBride play.
I know it wasn't really their fault, but i've never liked Fulham since Pardews first game, drawing that was sickening.
  • IMO pick a full team knocks dependent, maybe have JJ on the bench if he is feeling it after his demanding return. If anyone gets booked in the first half then get them out of there fairly early, any knocks straight off. Perhaps consider letting BWP have half an hour off towards the end.

The players deserve to participate in the occasion (some of us may forget how big this will be for the likes of Taylor for example) but no risks should be taken. Also, will be a great test for them and potentially a confidence boosting performance even if it ends in defeat.

    No replays though!!!

Apparently we've had 6,000 fans jump on the bandwagon since we went top! Erm...

  • We are also not in League 2 so I wouldn't take any notice. Fulham have some very strange fans if they think double relegation and five years of malaise has increased our fanbase, it has savaged it and this is just an away day out for old times' sake for the majority.

I flipping hate non-entities like Fulham being gobby, shows how much has changed in the last few years... thanks Dowie, Pardew etc.!
  • They are not worth worrying about. We all know if they dropped to the championship they would struggle to get 15,000 fans and in league 1 they wouldn't hit 10,000.

Michael Jackson statue i tell you!!
  • it is the FA Cup, it is not a distraction, it offers the potential to enhance any season

exactly, well said Super CM....  Cup or league we need to go for it in every game otherwise momentum is soooooo easily lost.
  • Used to get 4-5k in the mid-90s!

  • If they rest a few and we go with our best available eleven we will probably win. If they put out their best team, they will probably win. I think we are a an awkward draw for them and if they write us off as a 3rd division team they will be in for a shock. Having said that, it is difficult to predict the outcome as we don't know how either manager is going to approach the game. I would guess that both will be prioritising the league.

I don't think Fulham will be in any kind of relegation trouble and that a good cup run will be a good earner as well as a morale booster for them. I expect a very strong team to be put out against us. We should respond with our strongest available team as well.
  • I think the fact that we have sold 7k will mean we put out a strong team if nothing else. May be tempting to keep Cort and Pritchard in. Possibly Sullivan being the only change from yesterday.

A bolt of lightning is sent down to the statue every five minutes to keep anything from crapping on it from above........
  • That statue is absolutely hilarious.

Personally I love Al Fayed. But I wouldn't want him in charge of our club, he is a madman.

    I agree, too lifelike...
  • I saw one of the worst games I've ever seen at The Valley against Fulham.

Don't remember the year offhand (78ish) but we had luminaries like Tony Hazell playing for us which perhaps gives a flavour.
  • Which one of those mugs is Dennis Waterman?

I could be so god for you............ let me tell ya .................. lovin like you want me to ...........
  • Who's that meant to be ?

bobby zamora at the local kararoke
  • i like how the guy that posted Who? is standing next to danny murphy
  • This fella's on a wind up - right?

I'm concerned about this match. Charlton is top of their league -- this means that they know how to close matches and keep from dumping points.

The early rounds of the FA Cup remind me of NCAA basketball March Madness. A mediocre team from a powerful conference -- ACC, Big 10, etc. -- gets drawn against the leader of a middle level confrerence -- CUSA, Colonial, Big-West. The team that's most used to winning has the edge over the one who doesn't.

It'll be nice to play them again. I was sorry to see them get relegated from the Prem and then, later, from the Conference. I hope they're on the way back up.
  • Haha i think he means the Championship, he's right though it's never easy facing a team who are in the habit of winning.
