Semedo doing well isn't a great surprise and whilst we needed him to compromise on his salary demands and would have liked to have kept him despite what some might say, we haven't missed him as Hollands does a similar job but gives us more offensively. Having said that, he definitely strengthens a rival which isn't a good thing. Morrison has been fantastic for us but it should show all of us that picking on a player to scapegoat when things are going not so well is a misguided policy. We were told morrison was rubbish but he is actually one of the best centre halves we have had for many a year.
Just got my outward train ticket on the 9:55 from St Pancs for £15.85, bit of a rip off tbh, gotta buy my return the day before the game and match ticket on the day
Go on megabus website, back by coach will be a lot cheaper, leaves at 18.45 I believe

Wasn't just him as the scapegoat last season. Alot of players have been moved on (Potter), are in the reserves (Sedgwick, Reynolds) or have been transformed (Reda).
It's a pity we did not get our money's worth from him but it is what it is.

£15 and you're calling it a rip off?
Jeez.
(And if I were you I'd get the return now - the prices are only likely to go up the nearer you get to the day)
It is considering I got to Norwich and back the other season for £9.20. Will put more money in my bank tomorrow to get the return one, First Class for £15, might have that
Different train company, unfortunately eastmidlands are not too cheap, unlike upto Norwich and on the virgin line
Cheers, and as expected he's making a complete idiot out of himself. Link.
BANTER.
You're a right tool, Nathan. Jesus wept.
No need to be an arse about it though is there. Think I remember you saying a few things on here not that long ago that made you look like a bit of a 'tool', so pot, kettle and all that.
Lets not get personal chaps, healthy debate and all that. Football is all about opinion
I havn't booked yet, but really keen to go. Can anyone recommend the cheapest way of getting there because at the moment that's the stumbling block for me.
Not here for meaningless digs that get assigned as "banter"; there are enough numpties that visit our respective forums to take care of that.
Just here to say I am really looking forward to this one even more than the Sheffield derby; not for the vociferous passion (as it won't come close) but for the match itself. I hope as many of you can make it up to S6 as possible - we've been getting 23k plus recently so I hope that at least that many get to see this game, which I anticipate will be by far the biggest test we've had at home this season.
Not sucking up, but your are undoubtedly the best team in this division; the number of points you have accumulated to date is testament. Look at last season for some perspective - the league at the top was nowhere near as high in terms of points accumulation; at this stage Brighton were on 43 points. The league at the top is much more competitive this season too.
Chris Powell I regard as a proper gent - always humble and complimentary in post match interviews - and clearly he is getting stuff right on the pitch. You have some good players too; BWP is a threat with his pace and our backline will be susceptible to that (as you have identified). Green is also a tidy looking player with a great delivery; Megson chased him in the summer but to no avail.
However, there are some misconceptions about our side which you may be labouring under:
we are not the squad you played on TV at the start of the season; the squad was paper thin then.
teams accuse us of hoofing it and bully boy tactics - we get this because of our manager, simple as. We are effective at set pieces due to our size. We get it up the field quickly but when there we do play some nice stuff. What's more annoying is that teams who label us as hoofball merchants quite unjustifiably compare themselves to Barcelona in terms of style and quality - most notably MK Dons and their shit wasp of a manager Karl Robinson. Joker
It will be interesting to see; we have a couple of Charlton rejects, you have some Wednesday rejects. Morrison it seems can only play under Uncle Chris, but when he does, it seems he is very strong. Leon Clarke - well he has lost alot of weight, which he needed to, but he cannot lose his stinking attitude.
Looking forward to it. Hope to see alot of you occupying the Leppings Lane End.
My prediction:
You will edge it on the deck, we will be more dangerous on set pieces.

I have always liked Wednesday, had a lot of links from the eighties. Two of my best mates are Swedish Owls, one of them is coming over for the game. The New Barrack Tavern here we come
As this game falls on my birthday I was really looking forward to it.....................until my missus informed me "I've arranged to take you out on your birthday". It's a surprise and she won't tell me where (guarantee it won't be hillsborough). I would say "no, I'm going to sheffield" but this game's not MASSIVE enough to starve me of sex for the next 6 months....................................
When is Dale Stephens back? I am going for a 3-2 last minute winner from big Yann
After the last game he played the word was that his wife was having a baby, now he is injured. Something tells me there is more to it than meets the eye. I hope I am wrong but am not sure he will be with us much longer, rate him as a player, settled in very well

His wife did have a baby but then he had to have surgery on an ankle injury soon after. No conspiracy there

'The New Barrack Tavern' is a great real ale pub, if you like that sort of thing around 5-600 metres from ground along penistone road (near to the macdonalds). Asmentioned the 'Fat Cat' is another nice real ale pub as is the 'Kelham Island' pub almost opposite round the corner (i actually prefer). As for swedish Owls, my Swedish misses will be wearing her Malmo FF scarf no doubt, but she's firmly in the Red camp on matchdays in England. Hope we win this one so much. It means much more to me than the United game. Living in Hillsborough it will make me smile every time i pass the ground, for weeks if we win.

We were in the NBT four years ago for the Wednesday v Birmingham game, Charlton lost at The Valley 2-0 that day. T'was my Swedish mates 50th, went backstage before the game and met David Hirst, top geezer. Got absolutely hammered after game back in said pub. My two mates are from Umea and Boras, I lived there for 14 months three years ago. We will be in the boozer by 12.30
i think you'll start to see the sales for this one pick up quite rapidly over the week now christmas / new year is out of the way and people start to focus more on whats coming up. I'm definitely thinking about going but will probably wait til after the Fulham game to comit - not coz i want to see how we play, just coz i know i don't have to.
"definitely thinking about going" - there's a rallying call if ever I've heard one!
Tell you what Bexley Dan, if you go then I'll go - and anyone form on here who knows/spots me there can claim a free pint. (That should bring at least two out of the woodwork.)

LOL different tune i think mate - we tried to adapt this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iiryJwvDtc

Thanks for the blow by blow account!
The Wednesday: pleasure to meet a proper football fan , I doff my cap to you.
