  • I just hope people can dig a bit deeper and manage to make it up there, our biggest game of the season , we need the fans support , but people are skint after Christmas.
  • The pressure is totally on them because they can't afford to go 8 points behind and drop back behind Sheff Utd. If we lose then we are still clear at the top with Bury , Rochdale , Exeter and chesterfield on the horizon .

As the famous Buddhist philosopher Nagar Juna said, ''a great team of good players will beat a good team of great players, every time.''

Mind you he also said, ''a disguised owl should never f@#k with a Haddock'', so who knows?

I'll ebay more crap to get behind the boys, and I'm VERY loud, and so is my wife
  • Bloke at the ticket office earlier said we sold about a 1000.
Nonsense. In any case there is no rush to buy as we won't sell out.
see what you need to do is tell us that there's only 20 tickets left, get everyone panicking ;)
  • Wish I could do this, but I went last year and went to Sheffield Utd this season and I really can't afford to go back this season.

  • Fella told me there were only 20 tickets left. I'm gonna buy two tomorrow.

    Agree with that.

They just can't afford to lose. A draw will probably do them and obviously they would prefer the win, but a defeat really fcuks them up.

For us, clearly a win would be fantastic, a draw good, but a defeat not a complete disaster as we will still be there or thereabouts.
  • I'm enjoying that the general consensus on the Owls' forum is that they're going to 'kung-fu' us when we play them. At least they've accepted there's no finesse to their game, you've got to respect that
  • Kung Fu us? have they signed Cantona now as well?
  • Just got my outward train ticket on the 9:55 from St Pancs for £15.85, bit of a rip off tbh, gotta buy my return the day before the game and match ticket on the day :(

£15 and you're calling it a rip off?

    Jeez.

(And if I were you I'd get the return now - the prices are only likely to go up the nearer you get to the day)

It is considering I got to Norwich and back the other season for £9.20. Will put more money in my bank tomorrow to get the return one, First Class for £15, might have that
  • In general the staff selling the tickets won't be able to give an accurate sales figure when asked, so there's little point in treating what they say as gospel. In this case we have sold more than 500 and probably considerably less than 1,000. Update tomorrow.
  • Airman, what is concession classed as on the tickets if you do know?

Yeah I was wondering this as well (that £9 makes all the difference just after Christmas!).

For those of you feeling the pinch like me and if Valley Away isn't a realistic option, coach there and back is £12 return. 3 1/2 hours there isn't too bad but it's going to be a long 4 hours back if we don't win.

  • What's your username on Owlsonline Nathan?
  • I'd guess CAFCNathan
  • i think you'll start to see the sales for this one pick up quite rapidly over the week now christmas / new year is out of the way and people start to focus more on whats coming up. I'm definitely thinking about going but will probably wait til after the Fulham game to comit - not coz i want to see how we play, just coz i know i don't have to.
  • Can't wait. Games like this are what being an Addickt is all about
  • Hope we do em ... Really do ... Lost a lot of respect for the websites this yr ... A nice 2-0 would do it ... Negron will have them playing like an arse and if we can do wm on the break like at utd then we are looking very good ...

Aren't you lot the side being called "long ball/direct" by Uwe Rosler?

BTW Ask PNE or Tranmere about our "hoofball" over the past two games, it was non existent, we played excellent football but we are nervy late on.

You'd trust anything Uwe feckin Rosler has to say?

Compare our GD to yours, think that tells the story about who plays more football and who scrapes more results.
  • You have the feeling that two wins (possibly a win and a draw) from the two Sheffield games will be the point where we all believe 100% it is going to happen.

I'd take a win and a draw, no question
  • I'd take a draw at Sheff Wed - we are not playing well at the moment although admittedly i missed the Yeovil game but even so, winning in the last minute, although it shows character and resilience, doesn't suggest we're dominating games and the last few i've seen, we certainly haven't.
  • Leon Clarke should get a warm welcome. By the way Large did you see the exract I posted from the Chesterfield site showing he played against Torquay in the 1st round of the cup and is therefore cup tied at Fulham next week?
  • Leon will get a lovely reception, the fat f**king mess.

If we can grind out the win and cut your lead to 2 points going in the weekend when you face Sheff Utd and we host Hartlepool i'd be delighted btu I can see it being a draw between us unless we start well like the last two games.

Cheers, and as expected he's making a complete idiot out of himself. Link.

    BANTER.

Two wins and it would be very hard for us to mess it up, - we'd only need about 25 more points from about 20 games, of which you could only describe about four or five as "hard".
