Sorry but you can't base an opinion on having seen a player play twice.
Oh yes you can .. anyway Solly hasnt played 10 games yet, I've seen him in 25% of his games, he is spirited, over eager to please and needs to calm down. I'm sure that Powell will prove to be a good influence on him
When we played you (first game of season) Solly was the player that really impressed me... making good runs with pace and causing us all sorts of issues (although to be fair we had Lee Bradbury playing in defence that day ) . Thanks for the comments on Francis .... will be coming back with an improved offer. I know you guys on the whole don't really rate him but based on what he was like for Southend I still think he could do a job for us.... he was very much of a confidence player back then too.
what henry said, if he's good enough to play him. play him. regardless of skill or position. never looked a liability to me apart from millwall away where he was a lb.
People are far too worried about Solly's height. Francis is massive and it did us no good when he was out of position halfway up the pitch. Solly's worth a punt at right back. He's got some pace and the desire to do well for Charlton, plus he links well with Waggy. Bit of time and he could be excellent, and if he's not quite good enough then we can get a new RB in. I'd like to see Solly get a run in the side
According to the O/S Solly has 12 starts & 13 sub appearances. So Lincs has seen 2 out of 25 = 8%.
Sorry Lincs, but due to your location, you are not in the best position to judge our players, much more than I can comment on Lincoln's players.
Yes, you are entitled to an opinion, bit it cannot be as informed as those that watch Solly weekly.
given he has started only 12 games over .. what .. 3 years, ..... to say you've seen him 'weekly' is somewhat overegging the pudding. But I take your point. I don't get to that many games and I am simply commenting on what I have seen and what the experience of regularly watching football for 45 years has taught me.
Agree, Oggy. I thought he was average at best, but I was prepared to give him another chance. I'm not sure the same can be said of many of our fans though.
We definitely need to sign a right back if he does leave.
I could only see him going to Bournemouth if he was out of contract -can't see him wanting to take a pay cut or us wanting to subsidise one unless we had too many right backs or a good one lined up.
Well, good luck to the guy - he could have been better, but he had his good days too. Singled out and unfairly treated by many supporters.
They'll have to find a new Scapegoat this season. They will.
Spot on Oggy. I liked him and could see how hard he tried in every game. I thought his treatment by some of our "supporters" was shocking. As you say, which poor sod will be the scapegoat next season?
Bournemouth made a bid that they reported we said was nowhere near our valuation, so if £35k has been accepted was their original bid that we pay them £100k?

Other when played out of position (Millwall away and Shewsbury away) he's never looked anything other than solid IMHO

He'll probably be Bournemouth Player of the Year.
And be in League One Team of the Year.
Singled out and unfairly treated by many supporters.
