If this is a disaster, then I need to go and re-read the definition in a dictionary, as I think I must be misunderstanding it!
Exactly - it's good news. We are getting rid of our technically limited players as they need to make way for our recent signings with more ability because we no longer want to finish 13th in league one.
Think we are more than getting our money back, think doubling it in fact. For me getting fifty pence would have been a result. However I wish him well. He tried, never shirked, gave his best just that his best isn't nowhere near good enough.
Maybe not good enough as a footballer but he is a decent bloke and made the effort to chat with us for a while at the training day. All the best if he goes - I think he'll prove a few people wrong.
IMO Francis was an athlete who wanted to play football but wasn't quite good enough. To be fair to him he never hid but I am still puzzled why he was played when, I assume, Jenkinson was available. Who will be the boo boy for the Covered End this season? Quite why anyone sitting in the stand thinks that slagging off a player will improve his performance is beyond me. If he isn't trying then that's fair enough but simply because he makes mistakes...Is there is anyone on CL who thinks that their own performance is improved by being slagged off in public when they have been doing their best??? (Bedroom performances excepted of course)

But then I guess you know that, Southend!
;o)
Don't like Francis but I do like that Arcade Fire song, had me hummin away lol
Since you have a dictionary look up ironic.
And then gullible
Yeah, because you'd have to be gullible to think that anyone didn't want Jose to leave and go and sign for Sheff Weds....
Never hid but just wasn't good enough.
Good luck to the guy, we got our money back so I'm happy
Not as bad as painted by some but hopefully we are now in a position to attract better.
despite being a fans' scapegoat he never hid and I respect him for that.
