I think part of the reason people feel Mooney had a good game against Swindon was that, in additon to the things that were usually good about his game, he managed to impose himslef better physically on the Swindon defence and was therefore able to hold the ball up better and bring others into the game.
That could just be because the Swindon defence weren't as strong as some in this division or it could have been the early signs of hard work in the weights room paying off - who knows? It certainly wouldn't be an overnight transformation and would have taken weeks/months of additional training for before the results started to show on the pitch.
Perhaps he's been continuing to work hard over the summer and is now a much stronger player? Who knows. Until we see him play again we should remain open minded imo.
remember reading somewhere that all players are capable of a great game but what makes a great player is they nearly always have a great game. Mooney is not a great player even in division 3. He has something but not enough of it. Think we've seen enough. try somebody else.

Is that applicable only to Mooney from last season then... I thinketh not!
Not sure as well about Mooney, despite his excellent game against Swindon. Seems Happy in a Charlton shirt,.... but it's a no from me, too little too late is the phrase that comes to mind......

We need a young Liverpool youngster with pace and someone else with a bit of hunger
