  • Who knows, it might be a wake up call. Get him out of the night clubs and give him a chance to shake off his prima donna stuff (which we helped to build up), he may turn himself around and then we can spend all our time moaning about how Parky let him go.
  • Chris Dixon starting the game for Rovers at Brentford.
  • He has been given Lambert's no. 9 shirt too. I say "he" 'cos I'm assuming it is him but the BBC say it's DIXON.
  • Dickson SCORES on his debut!!!!!!!!!!
  • Course he does - never in doubt.
  • Dixon apparently lol
  • In the eleventh minute... remarkable
  • Dicko scores again.

  • Presumably he's barred from playing against us?

    You presume rightly.
  • Would have put him in the reserves. Cant understand why send him on loan in league hes proven in to rivals. If we arent gonna ever use him then sell him if we are then put him in reserves or even now loan him out for 3 games to get him match fit and put him in the team when hes back.
  • go on dicko. Sky cant spell his name either.

His value just went up by a few grand and we still have a call back clause.

And Scally must be so pleased.
  • Heck of a start for Dickson. Good on him.

Parky's barred him from playing for us too.
  • let's all laugh at Scally :-)))
  • Does anyone think he can still do a job in our team this year or are his bridges well and truly burnt and well offload him in Jan.

Personally i would love to have him reach his potential with us over the next couple of seasons.

"I asked him about the Dickson transfer and basically Bristol Rovers offered us the best chance of getting some kind of decent fee for him in Jan if he does well."

So he does want him to do well just not for us!!!
  • he could do a job in our team but only in a 4 4 2 so if we have injuries or start to get found out then he can fit in

  • But surely if he nets ten between now and xmas hes worth getting back unless we get offered silly money which is unlikely.
  • The easier play here, I think, would have been to wait to loan Dickson out to Scally or another weaker side in the division. Parky's decision to let him go to Bristol is, of course, risky, but it also increases the motivation of those in the squad to produce on the pitch because the spectre of Dicko hangs over everyone.
  • 2 goals and an assist (?); ridiculous...
  • And Lisbie's scored - sack the board :-)

You must have that wrong - according to Parky Dicko is incapable of "Team" play ;-)
  • Yes he's done well in just one half for them, but he won't offer much else. If we put him in our team we wouldn't see him passing the ball around well, keeping possession joining in the good football, closing down defenders etc. He goes out to score, nothing else. If a midfielder was unavailable he could play alongside Burton. Don't think he's capable of much than McLeod, who from the sounds of it is really working hard to break into the team.
  • Think Rovers are very much a long ball outfit, so Dickson game should suit them well.
  • Indeed who needs someone who can put the ball in the net when we have a feast of proven stikers at this level on the bench?
  • Would still have been more effective as an impact sub than Izzy or Tuna, dont think this was a good move on our part.

Maybe, but let'd remember Dicko wanted to go.
