Considering that on Palace's BBS site they were encouraging all fans to attend Saturday's home game v Doncaster, bring their kids and friends etc, as they were desperate for a decent attendance, to be able to play the players wages. 13,985 turned up. Now that seriously is worrying for them and I'm not taking the p*ss.
[quote][cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]at least the palace players didnt let the late wages affect their performance.[/quote]
Hmmmm, that was my reaction when I saw the result from Smelurst, how would any of us perform at work if our wages were unpaid by our "millionaire" owner?
That was Donnie's first away win all year too, are the two events somehow connected?
I thought Rovers looked a good team last year when they beat us and also on the "highlights" Saturday night.
When we played them they passed and moved the ball very well, if only they'd had 30 a year striker they would have been nailed on promotion contenders.
Dont know what they are like this term as I dont look that high up in the tables any more and beating a side where the players haven't been paid is no way to measure quality.
[cite]Posted By: WSS[/cite]He'll be lucky to get £1.7m
Agreed, everyone knows they are desperate, don't know why he's still putting up this pretence. Desperation I suppose.
They should get rock bottom offers, if any at all.
Have a look at this. This has been doing the rounds. Apparently this has been cobbled together to try and get a £7.5M loan. Those on HOL seem to think that it is embarassing in its inaccuracies.
been told today by a palace fan they will sell anything that moves in jan, also hoping they have enough points to take the 10 admin hit,he reckons they have interested parties in the club but only if they go into admin

That is the most ridiculous and amatuerish financial begging letter I've ever seen.
The lies, half truths and inacurracies are tantamount to fraud.
I particularly liked the youth players and purchased players who have been sold on at a profit. They seemed to have forgotten about the likes of the £1m+ players Akinbadbuy, Kuqi, Scowcroft, Ifill, Fletcher, Oster and numerous others they've bought and then released for bugger all.
Cannot get to sad about palaces woes, although personally speaking I would rather spank them on the park, along with Milwall and Gillingham.
A colleague at work who helps run the palace site was very gloomy on friday, he felt a 'firesale of the players' was on the cards, and that was not the worst of it, according to him.
But then being a palace fan he is always a half empty type of person, even when I reminded him that they were a point of the play offs..........
Just had a re-read of the document and checking on some of the 'facts' made in it over and above the rubbish about player sales, I think the following is a more accurate position as far as Palace are concerned.
1) Jordan has invested 'over' £30m of equity into the club - not according to their last accounts he hasn't.
2) Existing 'total' debt - slightly underestimated to say the least. Nothing about Jordans loan of £5m to the Club in September. Nothing about the outstanding rent arrears - about £1.2m by the end of this month. Nothing about the myriad of creditors to the Club. Nothing about the £5m mortgage to Aglio (a financer who deals with 'distressed companies') on all the Clubs assets.
3) Player 'net' sales again - So Palace are the only Club in history whose gross player sales proceeds can be the same as net player sales proceeds. I bet the people that operate the Football league levy and the players agents are aware of this.
4) Palace's superb 'one of only five that exists outside of the Premier League' acadamy structure - I'm sure the other 16 Clubs outside the Premier league who have an academy outside of the Premier are pleased to know that their academy doesn't count. And as for selling their academy players for 'their highest value' - how much did you get for Bostock Jordan? And as for the players valuation of £20m........ who does he think he's kidding?
5) An interesting note is that Jordan has cash collaterlised the £9.15m Lloyds overdraft and the £1.8m Lloyds loan - what's the point? I hope he does have £11m in readies should either of these loans be called in.
6) Finally, the other Clubs who have recently been sold as an example of wise investment choices by prospective buyers. Birmingham City - I'm sure Mr Gold and Mr Sullivan are happy to know that they sold The Blues to Grandtop in 2007. Wolves - Steve Morgan purchased them fo £10 in 2007 - so if they're worth £40m now that is a almost a 400,000,000% profit in two and a half years. Marcus Evans only paid £12m to Sheepshanks to take over Ipswich and their debt. I can't remember how much Coventry went for - but certainly SISU Capital didn't pay £58m for a second tier football club in the midlands who don't even own their own ground.
Is this document real or fake?
I'm no accountant and to me it looks rather like crap. So much so I would doubt any club would put this forward as a way to find investment.
[quote][cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]you might if you were desperate for money right now and so rush something out.
They clearly need money very quickly as they want to borrow on predicted sales in january.
I bet any buying club will be interested in those figures.
Still our accounts dont make happy reading so lets not laugh too much.[/quote]
But is it worth putting out a totally inaccurate as opposed to factually embellished and economic with the truth document as nobody is going to lend money or buy the club to the level of investment that they are looking for without going through due diligence.
while we're signing up for as many dating agencies and lonely hearts as we can palace are standing on street corners lifting their skirts to every passing motorist.
kap, i cant see the point either as one look at their credit rating and the amount of CCJs, unpaid rent, transfer embargos etc mean that few would bother.
But we took a £0.5m loan off the league so lets not get all high and mighty.
[cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]lol addicket, good analogy.

While I dont profess to know a great of all the legalities concerning Palaces finanaces, from your analogy Henry |I now know fully understand they are up sh*te creek without a paddle.
But perhaps that say's more about me than you. ; )

aaaaaarghhh!
Jordan would love 13,985 through the turnstiles.
Try taking nearly 2,000 off that figure.

"You could tell that Victor was on his game and he has been since I bought him back into the team.
"Everybody is looking at him now. They pay £17m for players like that in the Premier League.
"You don't get 18-year-old British players like that very often and he will go for sure."
Ha ha ha.
Agreed, everyone knows they are desperate, don't know why he's still putting up this pretence. Desperation I suppose.

Got £7.5M Guv?
We'll take Moses of their hands - for nothing, but we'll pay his wages.
Smacks of desperation that does!
Is he the one that was rated at 17m last week?

Implied Value of CPFC 2010.....
£46.2m
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Lol they seem very sure of those prices.
Really shows/that their academy is nothing special and certainly no better than ours.

True, but we're not whoring ourselves to every Tom, Dick and Al Harry like Jordan is.

OK, maybe just a little bit.
They told Jordan to feck off.
Maybe they thought why give a loan to a club that won't be a member of the league much longer.
