[quote][cite]Posted By: Saints fan[/cite]Not as confident as I was about not being in a relegation zone having just got back from Swindon.
The club have let down the 3,000+ supporters who were there tonight, awful performance. No width and we seemed obsessed with hoofball up to Lambert. Still not sure why Pardew is picking Wotton ahead of Gillet! But hopefully Dean Hammond will be joining in time for Saturday.[/quote]

Welcome to our world of 12 months ago, Saints fan.
Now you're just starting to get an inkling of what we've been saying.
we are only 18 points ahead of Saints. Ha, ha, ha. Really think Pardoo will take them down and that won't be acceptable as staying up is the minimum they expect. I'd be looking fwd to 12th Sept if I were not on holiday.
i do feel worried by tonights performance as i was yelling at the radio, MAKE A FUCKING SUB. but i do feel the laughing at us isnt exactly very nice...im worried what you lot are say ing about him might be true i was jsut hoping his stint at west ham and reading proved you lot wrong..
Dean, under Pardoo the worry factor is understandable.. you have the team there to stay up, but not under Captain Pardwash. sack him ASAP, give him the cash (;-(.).. and start a fresh, -9pts or no -9pts its not too late, but it will be if you're in a similar position in a month or 2. You'll soon see why we were all laughing when he joined Saints, not out of spite from you, maybe ;-) but as it was inevatible he would pull this again............
like he seems to be getting the right players albeit slowly but tonight i was thinking he cant be shit..surelly and im fucking terrified of him being a shite as you lot said.

If we are still in the relegation zone come end of october - I really doubt Pardew will still have the job.
I can't say I am looking forward to the 12th September - I would feel more confident if you played that keeper again, I can't remember his name though - young lad, made his debut against us (I think) and put the ball in the back of his net. Please tell me he plays often..? :)

To be fair, most of it is directed at Pardew, rather than Saints.
In terms of your prospects: you do have to take account of what the fans of somebody's previous teams say about them...
Deanovski and Saints fan - credit to you for coming on here and joining in the banter. As Mortimerician has said, our hatred is directed at Pardew rather than you.
It's very possible that Pardew may well make some astute signings to go with Lambert but from some of the things you've said about no width, hoofing it long to the target man, poor defending from set pieces, it's setting off alarm bells. That's exactly what we had to endure and look where it got us. You've got a massive fight on your hands.
I was chatting to a mate about what games I am really up for - Southampton home game is one of them, during which I intend to hail non stop abuse at that silver haired bell end..

If things go very wrong he'll talk about being sure he's the man for the job and won't walk away. if his time at us is anything to go by he'll hang on until you give him the push and the payoff that comes with it.

Part of my family are Saints ST holders, I'm certainly not laughing at you, you didn't deserve Pardew. Difficult for us, none of us wants Pardew to succeed, he has been a disaster for us and is an arrogant unpleasant self-satisfied piece of shite. He deserves to fail and be confined to the dustbin of football history. I will gain immense satisfaction from seeing him get his come-uppence. Sorry, but that's how it is, up to to Saints fans to get rid asap. But maybe he'll do better with you................?
So what was his excuse for last nights defeat then?
Was it the one about the fans not being vociferous enough at away games?
On reflection 3 games is a bit early to start on the fans so more likely he said that the players are struggling to cope with the demands of a different division but we'll work on it at the training ground (which needs redecorating by the way) and I'll turn it round.

Comment from fans Views on OS. The Soton game at the Valley could be the first time when two sets of supporters chant 'We want Pardew out, we want Pardew out'. Love it.
lolol addicted i loved that hahaha, he seemed to think last night wasnt so bad.im worried even with the right signings he put out a strange squad and took 80 mins to make a sub.

Randolph, I don't think he's played since then to be honest (in a league game anyway) no wonder you want him to play, that was the only way you were going to get anything out of that game. Perry and Davis had blinders of games
[cite]Posted By: sfc86[/cite]He is a complete clueless c#nthole. I've been trying to persuade myself about him ever since he arrived but I've given up now. I should probably give him more time, but he's just such an easy bloke to hate. Unfortunately he'll be here for a minimum of the rest of this season. His tactics are completely dire, there literally is none, he still goes on about our players, yet we lost to swindon ffs!
I am genuinely feeling sorry for you lot. This really is (no really) a carbon copy of what happened to us. I personally don`t hate Pards but some of the worst tactical, spineless, clueless, embarrassing performances I have ever witnessed by Charlton in in 47 years were under Pardew.
I intensely dislike him, I won't forgive him what he has done to put us in this mess we are in now. He made a big thing about saying he would sign tough, hard senior professionals.
He didn't
He said we would play our way out of the division. If you call the long balls pumped up to poor Chris Iwelumo good football then fine, but I didn't!
In fact the only thing he got right was his two year plan bullshit to get us out of the division. It worked in a roundabout sort of way
In some ways I do feel a bit for the fans (the ones that come on here etc). The man is a complete and utter plum - he is just not cut out for football management and he quite clearly is not learning from his mistakes.

;o)
It was like you were there.
'Not as confident' - 'in a relegation zone' - 'let down' - 'awful performance' -
' No width' - 'obsessed with hoofball' - 'not sure' - 'hopefully'
Wish I had a pound for every time i used those words when Pardoo was our so called manager
but i do feel the laughing at us isnt exactly very nice...im worried what you lot are say ing about him might be true i was jsut hoping his stint at west ham and reading proved you lot wrong..

You might not have 0 points by October with Pardew at the helm.

Love your description of Mr Pardew SA!

"The 10 point deficit was just too much for the players to get over."
Or without the bullshit - "It wasn't my fault and shouldn't affect my record."
He didn't
He said we would play our way out of the division. If you call the long balls pumped up to poor Chris Iwelumo good football then fine, but I didn't!

Ha ha ha am i reading this right or have i stumbled across some Charlton posts from a year ago. It's groundhog day!
Pards doesn't do centre backs. He'll sign 10 midfielders and 14 strikers but leave you down to the bare bones at the back.
