I was singularly unimpressed with his inability to change the side second half last week and I await the mythical Plan B to show itself. If not winning tomorrow with 15 mins to go he will need to do something to affect the game, probably formation wise, but can he ? Time will tell. Doing much better but still a lot to do.
I know what you mean, but to be fair to him, look at the size of our squad, the players we have on the bench. With McKenzie unfit, our strikers are McLeod and Tuna. McLeod has come on and done ok, but could do better, he adds pace but we know, and Parky knows, he isn't as good as Burton or Shelvey. In midfield we have Spring (or eventually Sinclair?) to put on the middle, who aren't going to change a game. After that we have a young winger in Wagstaff (and maybe Holden in the future?) who again has done ok when he's come on but a long way off Sam at the moment.

I'm not saying he's done everything right and could do no more, but it's not his fault we can't afford a bigger and better squad. That's a big reason in having a lack of good options. It's not like it was a few years ago, when we'd have players of a similar level on the bench, or at least players that would instantly change the way we played (like putting on the likes of Thomas or Lisbie for a completely different type of player). Our sub midfielders and strikers are made up of young pros and players that are back up at best when everyone is available.

    'Your jury?'

A jury is 12 people. Yours is just one - you (as you said: 'singularly unimpressed').

    You are so judgmental.

I am Large because, unknown to you, I have eaten 11 people and so am speaking on their behalf also. And yes, I am judgemental. So what ?
  • "It's a family affair ....", as the old song goes.
